Bluetooth BMW car play not picking up calls

For some reason and I can’t for the life of me figure out why but the Bluetooth on BMW 3 series (2019 so newer model) is not li king up calls through the car. It’s fine when I ring someone through it. Can’t see any settings I may have changed inadvertently. It’s not a big deal but mildly irritating if it’s a work call and…

It’s fine when I ring someone through it. Can’t see any settings I may have changed inadvertently. It’s not a big deal but mildly irritating if it’s a work call and it’s just handier pick up while driving and done.
I disconnected the phone and re paired it again but same thing.

If you answer the call on the phone and not via the system it will not come on via the system
So on my old x5 I had button to answer call on steering, if I didn’t press that and maybe pressed the answer on phone /watch it wouldn’t pick the audio via the system
Might not be why you have an issue but said I would mention
