TCL C845K an option coming from a 55 inch LG Oled ?

Hi Guys,

Bought a Lg Oled55b7v with you in 2017 which decided to turn on and straight off again after 6 months in storage. cannot get it to work 😪

I am looking for something new that is a bit bigger with less burn in and still doesn't lag miles behind the quality re picture I experienced with the LG.

I stumbled across the TCL c845k which to me looks a great alternative. Any input from your end before I decide to buy this tv from you guys ?

The TCLs are great TVs - the Mini LED panels are great and they have an amazing smart hub. They wouldn;t give quite the same picture quality as the OLED panel so the LG OLED65C34 would still be the best to go for for picture quality - the later models are also a lot better for screen burn as well, we rarely see them coming back with this issue now:

If you didn't want to go for another OLED though the TCL is definitely a great alternative!

Hi Akula.

Unfortunately it doesn't come close to the quality of OLED.

Mini LED does give improved image quality and contrast but nothing really compares to OLED.

Fair enough. I’ll hold out for 77/83” oled prices to come down another bit so!

No problem at all.

The 77 & 83" LG OLED are like the holy grail at the moment and stock when it arrives is usually already reserved, so I'm not sure they will see much of a price drop as we can't keep hold of stock at the current pricing.

There is still stock of the 77G2 coming in at £2699

I have a Philips OLED which has somehow developed screen burn despite the daily refresh and screensaver, so I'm reluctant to go back down that road.

Would the TCL be a good TV for regular day to day use and watching movies/sports?

It is hard to get away from the picture quality of the OLED but the TCL mini LED QLED is a very good television and has had some great reviews, including BEST TV in What HiFi.
