Clutch repair cost

My 2009 1.3 petrol Toyota Yaris is in need of a new clutch I think. It’s not slipping or falling out of gear but the pedal is basically fully out before it bites. Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for a replacement.

Also the hanger for the exhaust back box has snapped will this cause me to fail the nct next Friday?

Id say ball park 700 - 1000 for clutch.

I reckon the broken hanger will fail at NCT but that should be an easy enough fix.

I'd say 600 to 800 for clutch in a yaris, shop around. Alot of places very busy at the moment though so don't be expecting any of this pre nct.

Is the clutch on the Yaris a cable operated one? I know with other manufacturers, their smaller cars have cable operated clutches (for cost reasons).

Might be worth checking and if so, it might just be in need of adjustment.

It small engine and box so plenty of space ect so easy enough job I expect for small independent garage around €500 or less as clutch kit on mister auto is only 100 to 150 euros for top brands LUK/sachs so would have 350/400 to put it in profit ect

350 to 400 is not profit. Its labour. There's a distinct difference between profit and labour. Fairly bizarre analysis.

if the owner of the garage charges me 60e an hour for labour he’s not paying his mechanic that. He makes profit on the labour cost he charges me.

350/400 euro is more than enough put clutch in small car like that in my eyes plus I wouldn't go out my way asking for a receipt ect cash payment. Plenty room in that engine bay be morning work for man

That's not profit horse 65 per hour is labour for an independent garage Mental note. You've said pure profit several times it doesn't make it so.

Replace it yourself so..! I've replaced mine and my vans myself with no lift btw.

You should set up your own independent garage. Did you know you can make 70e an hour plus pure profit on top of that!!

As always with repair quotes I’l probably get backlash here and will be told that this is an impossible price but my mechanic quoted me 250 cash to supply and fit a clutch in an 06 Yaris not too long ago.
