    Hi beasty. You're a mod aren't you.

    Can i ask your opinion.

What do you think of tenofswords, the moderator, closing my thread in the current affairs forum, because he said that it wasnt a current affairs issue.

My thread title was "sexism in Ireland".

He closed it because he said it wasn't a current affairs issue.

I said to him that Ireland are currently having a referendum on a "women in the home " article in the constitution. And that there are also currently various sex abuae cases in the news in Ireland.

    Thank you for your opinion.

I fully support the decision to close the thread

You dominated the thread making nearly half of all the posts in it. Then you complained about others "having a go" at you. You clearly did not like the way the thread was evolving. You were reacting to others who had differing views to your own. You went into the thread having a pre determined position and were being critical of those who did not share your own views. You were trying to moderate the thread yourself. Interrogating posters on their own opinions on matters. You were being uncivil eg "Care to contribute anything intelligent? Go on. You can do it."

I really cannot see any benefit to keeping the thread open

You're not replying to what I asked. I didn't ask you that.

My question was: what is your opinion on when he first closed the thread.

He first closed the thread , mere seconds after I opened it. This was way before anyone wrote any posts on the thread. He closed it the second it was opened. I pmd him to ask him why and he replied "because sexism in Ireland is not a current affairs topic". He then reopened the thread later on after I asked.

That is what I asked your opinion on here. I'm asking your opinion on when he first closed the thread. Do you agree with him that sexism in Ireland is not a current affairs topic. So can you answer the relevant question please.

Also, you only posted my reply on the thread. And not the poster I was replying to. For clarity, I would like to post the whole conversation with the poster you mentioned.

    A poster said to me

    "Pics or it didn't happen".

Which is a very immature post.

I replied to him "can you contribute anything intelligent"

You do not control what I post

You are doing here what you did in the thread'

My "opinion" is I am happy with the closure given the way the thread had gone.

The OP seems like a very demanding person.

Perhaps that is the reason she experiences reactions to her as she does. She's receiving what's she is giving.

    Just a thought

Asking you to reply to my question in not "controlling" what you post. It's asking you to reply to a question.

You still haven't replied to my valid question.

@sydthebeat by boards rules , I and every other poster are allowed to come here to helpdesk to question moderator decisions.

It's meant to be an impartial process. A different moderator is supposed to come here and view what happened. I am allowed to submit questions as part of this process.

I've checked other threads in helpdesk. They asked a question and it was answered.

This mod has not answered my only question, which was

"Does he agree with tenofswords that sexism in Ireland is not a current affairs issue"

Anyway I'm going to move on now. There is definitely no point in keeping this thread going for weeks. I'm sure everyone has better things to be doing.

Another mod has replied to me on here, beasty, so I guess thats as much as I can expect.

I'll leave this thread now. Take care ya'll.

It's funny that you were interested enough to come here and read the thread. Then say you're happy it's over.

    Hmm

I followed the initial thread and subsequent farce. As you said "I'll leave this thread now. Take care ya'll."

You're comical that youre so invested that youre still here. I said I've finished the dispute.

However if someone writes me a nasty comment I will reply.
