    Back home after meeting a mate in town for late lunch which followed a brisk walk in the Phoenix Park with my best mate earlier this afternoon. Very cold outside! 🥶 🥶 ❄️

    Going to take all the decorations down shortly but will be leaving the tree up for another week or so - the lights cheer up an otherwise lean and bleak January.

    @Sephiroth_dude - you'd asked me what Lego I got from my OH/Santa for Christmas - it was the beautiful new reboot of the original classic space Galaxy Explorer ship - which I was too young to build when it was originally in the stores.

    Built the spaceship over three evenings - it's a beaut! 💕😁

    A cold day. Never left the house. Going back on the Louisiana pork chops tonight. Gotta get Mrs G off the telly first! Tomorrow it's the charity shop, tip and a new mattress. After that, who knows!

    Never had such dangerous roads. My drive way was lethal.

    Took grandchildren to school and it was treacherous. Area around the school had been salted by principal late last night but it rained and froze over again. She was busy spreading more on paths, the yard was done.

    Lots of cars with rather large dents.

    More cold and yet more cold. Another two weeks according to the forecast. Hate it and it costs a fortune. I brought Ms G to the school bus this morning. Road was fine but the paths were like glass.

    Anyway. I'm looking forward to my homemade curry. Girls in bed and Im on the couch watching Signs in a warm room.

    The country should be shut down from Christmas day to the first of February. I'd even be willing to lose the new bank holiday to make it work.
