Well Saudi (as far as we know) doesn't have nuclear weapons and Israel has some religious extremists in government, but isn't totally controlled by religious nutcases like Iran. But yeah let's give some total nutcases weapons of mass destruction. Will you put the crack pipe down ffs.

    I'm partial to your abracadabra
I'm raptured by the joy of it all

Egypt and Iran working on restoring diplomatic ties.

The court will do that. Just a shame it had to get to this point really but been inevitable for some time now.

What do a lot of posts in this thread have to do with Iran? Is a single Israel Gaza thread not enough??

Probably because the whole lot is linked either directly or indirectly.

I don't think Iran has gone Nuclear just yet although I'd say it's taking baby steps towards getting there.

I think Weapons grade Nuclear is very far off for them, and isn't in their interest. Their big rival is Saudi Arabia, and the last thing they want is to trigger the Saudi's into developing their own Nuclear weapons. There's a proxy war going on between the two of them at the moment and Iran seems to be winning that proxy war, with the Saudi's being boxed off more and more.

It should also be noted that that the article says it's producing 9kg per month of enriched Uranium. (Not Highly enriched which is 85% and above). still very very very far off.

Doesn't mention anything about P239 which is made from U238.

Does seem like an awful lot of BS Propaganda doesn't it?

You're correct though in saying that no one knows bar them. We can only make informed guesses (Same as the mainstream media)

That won't go down well in Israel and the US. However it might convince the US to join Egypt in seeking peace in Gaza in order to keep a foot in that camp.

Not happy about others trying to resolve problems and attempt to get on. It's not normal is it, can't be doing stupid stuff like that can you ?

Extremists the Iranian rulers might be, but they are very rational in their actions.

Sorry, but Bezalel Smotrich is in Coalition with Benjamin Netanyahu. he is the biggest religious nutcase in power anywhere in the world at the moment, and not just that. "In power" in a very powerful country.

Iran is under Shia rulership which yes, is very religious, much more so than the Sunni's. But neither the Sunni's nor the Shia's have a tap on the RZP

What is going on here is potentially very dangerous ... these so called Houthi rebels ... a splinter of Al Qaeda more like it ... are taking advantage of Hamas v Netanyahu ... Houthi (or new Al Qaeda?) have 'declared war' on the West ... this means they will conduct terrorist attacks on the West causing yet another US lead war ...

Yemen is the land of Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden ... the cradle of Muslim terrorism ... Netanyahu's successive regimes represent the cradle of modern fanatic Zionism ... and the Republican Party in America represent the worst form of US imperialism ... a combination of all three have the potential to bring us the worst Middle East situation since the time of 9/11 ... with the Israel/Hamas war and the Houthi-Al Qaeda revival opportunism only the heats for the main event ...

I get the feeling the end game here is a US war on Iran .... with 2 cities of that country being obliterated by nukes from the US to extort Ali Khamenei to become 202X's Hirohito ... Khamenei becomes the most pro-US leader of all time in return for no more nukes on Iran with Iran's govt 100% controlled by US/Israel ... this is the end of the forever wars Trump style !! It won't stop terrorism ... because I think Iran has damn all to do with Yemen's Al Qaeda problem ... Iran and Al Qaeda have not had a good relationship historically ... and besides the US don't want to stop terrorism ... like they substituted Iran in for Iraq after Saddam was gone they want to substitute someone else in for Iran for future war !!! ...

I get the feeling all this 'Iran backed' propaganda is 99% exaggerated ... 21-22 years ago it would you'd have a diff situation .... one where you'd replace the N in Iran with a Q ... to give us Saddam Hussein's Iraq ... funny how Iran took over from Saddam all of a sudden after 2003 .... in 2002 it was all Iraq backed groups ... in 202X it is all Iran backed groups ....

ISIS are very quiet ... don't see this remaining so ... ISIS Al Qaeda and what ever they want to call themselves are more idea than specific group at this stage ... the world is a mess and the leaders we have at present/likely to have in the future are not helping .... ISIS were once Al Qaeda too ... Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula are enemies of Houthi Movement (Shia but heavily Al Qaeda inspired ... with Sunni Al Qaeda allies not happy with their former pals in AQitAP) ... a lot of Al Qaeda ex Al Qaeda turf wars going on .... and armed by rivals because it suits short term needs ... but these groups sometimes do more than fight among themselves and come back to bite their patrons in the likes of Washington ...

Iran accepts the invitation to become a BRICS member, a few more states have officially applied to join in 2024

That's some basket case of countries. Good luck trying to find cohesion there.

One couldn’t find a shittier bunch of crapper countries to band together what amounts to an over glorified talking shop

India alone has far from stellar relationships with Pakistan and China and more or less at war with both

Almost all container ships through the Suez canal to Europe and North America are now being re-routed. Oil and gas continues as normal.

I am sure the C in BRICS is delighted that their tat takes longer to reach their main customers now

Big hit to the Egyptian economy. Maybe they should invest more in defence of the red sea themselves.

Heh now you had me looking at the Egyptian navy on my lunch break 😃

Apparently the largest fleet in Middle East with submarines, frigates, landing ships and even a modern French helicopter carrier

Slowly but surely that whole region is going to explode.

İsn't that helicopter carrier the one that was supposed to go to Russia before the initial invasion of Ukraine?

They may have all the gear but can they perform? One would think if they could they'd be making noises by this stage, if not taking action.

I'm curious as to who it could have been - Doesn't seem like Israel's m.o. (and yeah, I am aware they're currently levelling Gaza but still).

And the Houthis took on the well armed Saudis and emerged relatively unscathed. Egypt probably fear a similar result.

Why would the seller care if it takes 2 weeks longer to arrive. It's up to the buyer to pay delivery, if they want it next day hire a jet to deliver it. It's not ebay you know.

The buyers can go elsewhere, you would think that lesson would have been learned with Russian gas war

Right now your BRICS talking shop has some members destroying the business model of the biggest member who has more economic and military weight than the rest of them combined
