The Cru have launched a new site, but nothing available yet - seems to be cheaper than the Beer Gals https://thekegcru.ie/collections/perfect-draft

Excellent thanks for this. Have used the Bier & Wein Versand website previous and no hassle getting it in. May try this for an order until the kegcru become available.

Is there any other sites out there besides, Bier & Wien, Beer Gals & Busby Cellars? I’m dying to my hands on Brewdogs Elvis juice…..👀

Has anyone ordered from that bier and wien site recently? Beergals seem to be totally gone

thekegcru.ie has them in stock at the moment

Beergals might just be waiting on a shipment

I have an order with beer and wien at the moment, a lot of back and forth about getting them to assign payment. They tell me it will ship tomorrow nearly 2 weeks after order.

Beergals haven’t had stock in a while, not sure if they are still open.

I have got a couple of orders from busbys cellar, next day delivery and will collect empty with a charge for the courier.

Not sure if its true but apparently beergals have closed down and are looking for a new owner - Perfect draft Ireland posted something on facebook about it.

My PerfectDraft Pro has decided to stop working unfortunately😢 ..Bought in Jan 2024, so hopefully they honour the warranty..Bought from Beergals who as people say look to be closed, so will go directly to Perfectdraft themselves…

Display lights are on and to my eye, looks to be a cooler issue…

I have a voucher for beer gals since Xmas. I presume its useless? Checked the website and every beer is sold out.

I'd say so unfortunately. I've about 40 quid credits from keg returns there which are also useless.

Anyone see they've released a London Pride keg? Seems to be getting mixed reviews and is a lower % than the bottles.

Will try and answers a few queries in one go here….

Bier and Wein. Have ordered loads of times with them, zero issues with delivery or customs. Have always received it 100% of the time. The only problem I ever had was with one order when the put in two of one keg instead of one and vice versa. Other than that, all good. The only downside is that sometimes delivery can be slow if their stocks are low (they keep taking orders but might not have the stock to ship) and their communication are poor to non-existent. Overall though, cracking kegs at cheap prices and would recommend.

The Beer Gals. Yes, they are gone for now. I would say the difficulty and uncertainty over shipping and deliveries probably did it as there is definitely a market for the kegs in Ireland. It must have been very frustrating for them though and no doubt effected any plans they had to expand and build their market share. Not just an Ireland thing though, it's the same in the UK but I'm not sure about the continent. As for the gift cards, for the moment, they are non-redeemable. Your best bet would be to try and contact TBG directly but I'm not sure you will get an answer as I imagine that they are waiting to see what the (hopefully!!) new owner will do with them. I'd say they will be honoured, you'd imagine they would have to be legally, but they can't give any commitment yet until they see if there is going to be a business at all.

Keg Returns. If you have any empties from TBG, The Keg Cru in Dublin will take them as will any outlet up the North. Both will also take any empties from Bier and Wein. I've never had any issues returning them to either and always received the full €5 or £5 every time.

Machines. Anyone who travels up North or can manage it, Asda are doing the new PD Pro machines for £189 and they have cheap Stella and Corona kegs in the shop. Think that's it selection wise, but there's plenty of places across the entire region that stock kegs. Even petrol stations can have a few in the fridge!

Hope that answers a few questions for people anyway.

    Great post!

With the KegCru returns, can I stick them in any box and just slap on the €7 label? I did email them last week but got no response. I've 7 or 8 kegs sitting out the back.

I'm not 100% sure to be honest, I just drop them off at the warehouse. However, I would suggest giving them a call as they are really helpful both on the phone and in person when I dropped them off.

I generally use busbys cellar for returns, costs £7.50 and I fill a large box with 10-12 kegs and they give you a voucher for £5 per keg. Collection and delivery by DPD.

For anyone doing keg returns by courier, if, for example, you got a box of 3 or 4 from TBG or TKC or B&W or wherever, fill each box and then tape a few of the boxes together. It only counts as 1 collection/parcel/package and you get charged once, whereas you could (depending on the courier) get charged 3 or 4 times if shipping as individual boxes. It's not a problem and both the outlet your sending to and the courier will tell you to do the same thing.
