Japanese Import Aesthetics

What are people's thoughts on certain aesthetic features of Japanese imports?

Square numberplates for a start.

Do these cars look worse or better with them? Do they attract unwanted attention, given the perception that Japanese cars lack security features and are good targets for cat theft?

Those smoked glass covers over the top of the side windows.

Presumably, they're for keeping rain out when you open the window?

Seem a bit unnecessary if we do fine without them in Ireland and practically every car has aircon now.

Can they be removed easily?

To be honest I just de-jap mine.

Change the plates to regular ones. Remove all those stupid japanese stickers.

The wind defectors are great if youre a smoker - you can leave the window open and smoke without getting wet.

As for whether they give a sense of insecurity - the scum that rob them know the models to steal anyway regardless.

You can fit normal reg plates to most Jap imports, and the wind deflectors can be removed easily. I kind of like the Jap look on certain cars tho

Any of my jap imports have all the jap stickers,square plates and I also add any optional extras or dealer extras I can find

I've had 1 jdm car. Everything that made it look jdm went in the bin.
