Really wish refs would stop repeatedly coaching players. Exeter were all over the ruck three times slowing down illegally, and ref just keeps telling them to stop. Do it once, sure, but after that penalise them.

Damage was done, they bought time to get cover across and it resulted in an intercept. It boils my blood, just encourages more of the same. You want an open flowing game? Stop the coaching. Teams will knock it off if they're coughing up penalties.

Didn't realise Frisch had that acceleration

Lovely changes of direction in attack there. Tasty score.

We're starting to show the hallmarks of a Mike Prendergast attack now.

Dopey mistakes from Munster at times.

    Beirne is an absolute pest.

Jaysis, reynals coms were poor there. For all the world it sounded like he was telling beirne “no”, but then awarded him the turnover.

and totally agree with the coaching comment made by other posters.

interesting game for the neutral, tactical battle is good to watch

Beirne is zombie like with his turnovers you can not effect him lol!

    Impressive first half from Munster.

need to make sure they don’t switch off in the 2nd

Missed the first three tries. Anywhere to see them back?

Casey can be an infuriating player, great tempo from the base of the ruck but his basics can be poor. The 2 Exeter attacks in this game were directly as a result of unforced errors by him.

Nash having a great game, looks so dangerous with ball in hand. Hodnett and Ahern going really well too.

Great half time scoreline, and probably accurate enough on how the game has panned out so far.

Definitely butchered that chance that ended with the intercept, but otherwise that's a munster team playing very well.

Frish, Nash and Daly are huge assets in our back line. Those 3, along with Aherne will wear the green Jersey at some stage of their career I suspect.

this is the first 1 anyway. i am sure the others will turn up here or the investec champions cup page

Hodnett and Ahern and making hay in the wider channels. But credit to our midfield in getting the ball out to them.

The hope is the exertion Exeter are putting in defense will start to tire in the second half.

They really need to. Second half performances have been poor too often this year.

The commentators talking all over the comms about the last decision. Perhaps, if they had just shut up, we all would have heard Raynal explain his rationale to the Exeter players. Simple.

They're replying them at HT now. Crowley and Ahern really showed up that narrow defence

I do love an English commentator whine about a decision. It makes me happier than it should

Crowley having a commanding performance so far

Great game for Crowley's development with such emphasis on kicking to wide space fleetingly left by a narrow aggressive blitz.

One thing that needs work is our attack in the red zone, we revert to stationary one-out runners and good teams gobble that up. Would like to see us coming on to the ball at pace or have a few clever moves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,076 ✭✭✭almostover

Get Casey off the pitch, Jesus he's having a stinker. Need control now from Murray

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 929 ✭✭✭Mr Disco

Casey is like a hopeless child

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,202 ✭✭✭fitz

He hasn't been perfect, but you can see he's really growing in confidence. He's doing himself no harm in terms of 6N selection.

That referee is awful. Tadhg Beirne legally through and clearly with his hands on the ball and Exeter not releasing before he was knocked over. The referees penalises Beirne after he is knocked over.

And it's a huge call because Exeter take the three points.

Anyway great response by Munster to extend the lead.

    Another nice try.

started with a phase 1 turnover from Coombes on their own 22.
