As was I. Incredible show, touring one of their most underrated albums. Loved the simple mirrorball and white backdrop

I went to the one in millstreet 2 days earlier also....

I bought a renault 4, 15 years old, cassette player worked tho, the heater and the door locks didnt.

I drove to Millstreet with my gf (wife now) and was so near the front !

The Saturday gig i went on my own, i could only get a seated ticket, i thought it would be easy just to slip in to the standing downstairs... It wasnt easy, and i had to sit for the gig!!

Ps - that was also the day Man Utd were beaten 6-3 by Southampton in that grey kit, i can remember listening to the reports on the radio on the way up.

I was at both the Millstreet and Dublin gigs too. From North Cork so was a no brainer. Of course the place I was supposed to stay in Dublin fell thru so just walked around for the night, as you do, and got the first train back the next morning.

Was well back in millstreet but got right up the front in The Point. Good Times.

I remember having a pint in a pub on the Quay that night. Just remembered it was green. Found out years later it was a place called Valence & McGrath's. Been knocked and its now the hotel that a lot of Kin is filmed.

Does anybody remember that Gigathon thing they released last year , lol.. I spun it up the other day to remind myself how far they done fell. .. Saying its their version of Dirty Work is an insult to Dirty Work. Its more comparable to Nickleback!

Couple of Gigaton songs sounded great live at their recent gigs

For me, it's their best album for the past 20 years - granted the bar was gradually getting lower in comparison to their earlier offerings. But I'd have it easily in front of any of the last 5 albums starting from Binaural up to lightening bolt. They all have some decent songs, but Gigaton for me is more of a complete album than those.

Yeah but those albums suck as well apart from Riot Act which sounds like TEN compared to Gigathon. . There's no way Gigathon will ever rank above Riot Act , as the latter features some of the best songs the band has ever written. . Gigathon has vanished from the public consciousness so quickly that people have forgotten it ever existed. Viewing numbers on youtube are the same now as they were when the album first dropped. .

I expect the band will disown it over time like Dave Grohl did with One By One. Thats not to imply that One By One is anywhere near as bad as Gigathon though, lol.

Was just looking at hotels for that one, prices aren't too bad. Good old Premier Inn will do the job, only about 20 mins walk away.

Czechoslovakia tickets two years after going on sale are still available. Same with Poland and Italy. They play in Dublin and they would sell out 2 if not 3 nights in a row..... Yet people still believe the reasons PJ don't play here have nothing to do with the possibility that they just couldn't be bothered.

Vedder took enough from this county when he arrived over solo and charged his fanbase €110 to see pound shop versions of PJ songs.. Those 3 gigs ticked Ireland off the tour list for another 10-15 years..

I see Eddie announced a tour with the new band!

He better not announce gigs in Ireland , he can f**k right off.

Flag day soundtrack is on Spotify.

EV daughter , Olivia , sings probably the best song on it.

Eddie Vedder and backing band the Earthlings will hit the road in a series of U.S. concert dates in February of next year. The Earthlings are drummer Chad Smith, keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist Josh Klinghoffer, bassist Chris Chaney, guitarist/vocalist Glen Hansard, and guitarist Andrew Watt. The shows kick off on February 3 in New York and wrap up on February 22 in Vedder’s hometown of Seattle. Special guest Glen Hansard will open the shows.

Glen is both opening and in the band, so double Glen

    Haha

Doubt they'll come here. He's doing NA in Feb, I'd say the PJ NA tour will start in March, then Europe in June.

Unless he comes back in the Autumn.

Never know but not sure would I go again to see them both again. 2019 was great and its hard to see how different the show would be 3 years on

The joys pre covid life, many here including myself would of travelled far to see PJ and Eddie

So, I don't know you. Have never met you or any of the posters who replied to your post but I can IMMEDIATELY tell that you are all terrible people who beat up puppies and.... and... and steal from grannies or something.

..... It's either that or I am mad jealous 😀

Delighted with that for my first Mad Cool festival

As much as id love to go June is so busy with gigs I have to skip the Dublin show. 21st-23rd June is gigs galore. Hotel prices won't be friendly if any are still available
