Hi, I'm thinking of getting a Cheetah Smart Plug for my electric fence on my farm, so I can turn on and off the fence from anywhere. Something like the link below.

What are peoples experience with these? The shed that my electric fence in is doesn't have wi-fi but i think these have a sim card in them so I wouldn't need wi-fi. Do people know how much it is a month/year to run these? I'm guessing there might be some monthly/yearly charge for the sim card (same as a phone would be) but I'm not sure. If someone knew the price, that would be great, thanks :) .

I use a Vodafone sim for my electric gate, just top up with €5 a month, might work for this as well

Would you have a linkt for this? €5 top of every 6 months (€10 a year) would be ideal

hope this is useful to you hard enough to match up with the fence you would need good old coverage on the phone to set it up

The €5 top up is related to whatever phone network you're using, and not the make of switch. Have a look at the different networks websites... Vodafone, Three, Tesco and such. Some of them only need the sim to be topped up every six months to keep it alive. Any of their sims will fit into any make of switch, just like they do in a phone.
