    2002 Yaris VVT-i petrol 1 Litre - Manual..

Fast idling @(1200 RPM) since we bought it two months ago, so I've done all the obvious things like checking the hoses for air leaks, checked the carb for an air leak too, checked the air filter for air leaks, so then I actually replaced the carburettor + idling valve, then I replaced the charcoal cannister that filters the exhaust gasses.

Still idling @ 1200 RPM when it should be below 800, so what haven't I checked out or replaced 🤔

It's either a vacuum leak or the idle control valve is faulty or the throttle cable is too tight

Thanks, but as I say I've covered all the obvious suspects, going even further and replacing parts, but still the idle is high!

Maybe the revs can only be reduced by plunging in a laptop 💻

    I don't know?

No it's definitely one of those is the problem, most likely a vacuum leak. They can be very tricky to find
