Fuse rating for extension lead cable

Hi bought an extension lead for airfryer comes with a moulded plug with a 5amp fuse. Fused blew when I have both drawers on airfryer on. Is it ok to put a 13amp fuse in plug. Just worried the cable is not rated for 13amps. Cable size says 360.75mm thanks

The starting point is what does the AF draw when both drawers on, should be on the name plate.

You shouldn’t be using the air fryer on an extension lead. It should be plugged directly into the wall socket

that extension lead has a core of .75mm so it must have a fuse protection of 5amp which is too small for your fryer

This. How long is the extension cable? You should be able to find one that is fused with 13amp I.e

But don't up a 5amp fuse to a 13amp - there's a reason it came with the 5amp...

Not unless you want to burn down your house which is what will happen if you do that. Ho buy a good extension lead or better yet get a socket fitted by a REC for where you want to airfryer to be. Much safer.

A 13A extension socket should be rated at 13amp imo

This one isn't , that's the problem with these gadgets
