Near 4 years old though for a car that was new about €112k + options is €76k good value? Already out of warranty too as it is limited to a 4 year / 80k km (very mean!) factory warranty, but I gues if you buy from a reputable garage you could negotiate a 1 year or even 2 year comprehensive warranty

Very low spec car too. Doesnt even have the drive mode selector knob on the steering wheel. If someone wasnt willing to stump up for that, you can bet it doesnt have the 150kW charging option at 400V or 22kW AC or any of the conveniences

Finbarr Galvin would be reputable and would surely give a 12 month warranty on a car of that value. I would have thought the battery warranty would be 8 years/160 K kms as per it’s Audi cousin and all other VW Group EV’s. It is a 4S 93kWh with upgrade wheels, a pan roof and in a desirable colour. 4 Seater won’t help it but it’s still a class motor if you were brave/foolish enough to take a punt on it.

Most EVs have an 8 year battery warranty and presumably the Taycan too. But the general manufacturers warranty is gone. And that would worry me on a Taycan, they have lots of issues. But yes a warranty from a reputable dealer would help as I said

The spec wouldn't bother me all that much. Lots of extremely expensive stuff that would only make it onto my "nice to have" list, I'd never pay extra for them

Facelift Model S, these are much better built than pre-facelift. One year warranty left on battery and drivetrain and NCT, high miles but looks clean, asking €28k

Beautiful looking car, rear driver’s side flat tyre aside.

The most basic of models, no extras and huge mileage, only plus is free SuC which looks like the car took advantage of, want to get details of UK ownership and wear/tear of suspension etc. Bjorn has uploaded recent YT of what to look out for

My stuff on Adverts, mostly Tesla Pre Highland Model 3

It's steel suspension, so nothing super expensive there and it has a long NCT. But yes would be wise to get the car on a ramp to check out, could have done huge mileage since last NCT. But at 330k km, I guess a lot of suspension work has already been done, depending on what way the car was driven. Could have to be done again though if it has had a rough life!

Free supercharging is worth very little to most owners

I agree the interior is a let down. My own has the white interior and it looks and makes the car feel many years younger / fresher

330k km and only a few months left of battery warranty? As much as I am a fan of the S over the 3, I'd stump the extra few K for a newer 3 with longer warranty remaining.

    13 months left

And we know the facelift batteries were well sealed, they do not have any common issues and we are now well over 8 years into the facelift cars

Interestingly here is what's involved in a pre-facelift battery refurbishment they claim they do it exactly the way Tesla do it, using the same OEM parts. Note, none of the batteries (over 8000 of them) had any problems, just a few logic boards. Very bad rust and water ingress though. After I don't know, about 10 years and 400k km already, in what must be one of the toughest conditions a car can be in, in the world (Norway). Now good for another, who knows, 10 years or so, although obviously range will slowly decrease. After 20 years it might have 70% or so of range when it was new, maybe less LOL if it will have done the guts of a million km at that stage 😂

Good price on a 22 E Niro, last of pre facelift model:

Herself has a 21 model, not for me, but decent range and reasonably well specced, allthough the non LED headlights models, should be avoided, really bad, but this one has that.

First cheap Ioniq 28 that has come up in quite a few weeks at €10,900.

Absolutely huge mileage however (198,000 miles!). The seller claims winter range of 175km and summer of 210km, which might still be honest (10-15% battery degradation).

At that price not a bargain, but I'd say it could take a while to sell and you might jump in with an offer they will not refuse.

Just for anyone buying, those ranges are excluding motorways. In my 100% SOH ioniq28 (I had 2 of them), motorway range would be 150 in winter and 180 in summer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,821 ✭✭✭✭User1998

It has 198,000 km. Not miles. Not exactly astronomical for an 8 year old car. Its only 25,000km a year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,766 ✭✭✭✭ted1

List the distance in miles as opposed to km to make it seem lower but lists the range in Km

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,447 ✭✭✭embraer170

I think it said 198k miles when I checked earlier but it's true that it is now listed as km. With the lower mileage, while still not a huge bargain it seems quite reasonable compared to some other Ioniqs listed.

It’s still a viable alternative to a Leaf or Zoe which are it’s only real competitors at that price point.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,229 ✭✭✭✭unkel

And Leaf 40kWh and Zoe 40kWh are more expensive than Ioniq 28kWh to buy and do not have any more motorway range (at 120km/h GPS speed). That's the benefit of much better aerodynamics of Ioniq and simply an incredibly efficient drivetrain

Not sure on the ZE40 (which presents its own recharging problems), but the leaf 40 had less motorway range than our Ioniq28 on the same run. I test drove it before buying the ioniq a few years ago.

€10,500 2021 Electric Vivaro Van with frontal corner damage and needing an airbag kit. These are about €44K new.

This is not a facelift model. It has a black moulding on the bonnet.

We bought a 40 env200 van recently and the range was just awful in comparison to the Ioniq in every respect.

We did same trip in both, it was over 300km, about 3/5 motorway.

Let's just say it was a bit of disaster in the Env200, the battery range dropped like a literal stone, luckily for me I stayed in my ioniq, I tried waiting and gave up in the end for the env200, I would have been at least 3hours quicker I reckon. Once you go over 80 in the env200 it was terrible.

I drive my ioniq at 120kms per hour GPS, I won't get anywhere 160 range comfortably at that but that's ok, at least I know it will charge fast and not rapidgate like the env

Sorry you usually find the bargains but that one is massively overpriced, the mileage is nuts.

I was keen on an S and watching prices - they have really fallen back to levels seen maybe 4 years ago but a lot of the same cars are advertised for ages - i.e. over a year so that's a sign they are still advertised artificially high.

This one is on the market for ages - it's under 30k, 2018, dealer, one owner and almost 200,000km less km's than your 2016 one above. Not doubt the dealer will be keen to shift it and a deal is likely

Market is way down. My ICE was advertised at 24k 2 months ago, and the first few weeks I had a few genuine people enquiry but was away and couldn't get them access to the car for two weeks, it's 21k now and barely a message comes in, same cars from when I put it up are also still up.

    😎

You sure that one's been for sale for ages, I haven't seen it before. But yeah I concede that's a much better bargain than the one I posted 😁

I know this one has been for sale for ages, maybe about 6-7 months now. I know people who went to see it and it's alright but a bit rough

    I see some 221/222 ID4 77’s listing around €35/36k - value, or no?

    2yr full warranty etc

    52’s or 77’s?

I was excluding the early ones and only looking at 221’s onwards

Big battery first edition ones. So sorry yeah that would have been 2021 cars I think.

Be careful with any ID.4 though and go in knowing full well these cars can have major issues. That's apart from the brutal software. My neigbour just got one (232) and it has already been back to VW all week this week with all sorts of strange electrical problems. Window didn't go back up again and when the press pretty much any button, the wiper comes on.
