The opposite in fact, though he may pull the Arab block from Biden slightly there is another issue at play. Like the way Israel funded and promoted Hamas, the Maga Republicans pushed RFK jr and funded him. His job was to pull votes away from Biden, but he was such a crackpot he only got asked on right wing shows and podcasts. Right wing grift social media pushed him as the voice of reason and posted things like his physique compared to Biden. When RFKjr realised he was making no ground on the left he decided to run independent. Immediately all the same accounts that pushed him then critised him when they realised what they did creating a monster that was only popular on the right.

You seem to have trouble understanding the difference between two completely different things.

Well, you see, this is where we differ. There are two lenses to view Israel's actions through. One is a moral and righteous one, and I will leave that to you and your hyperbole. The other is through the lens of international law. Viewing Israel through those lens means that there are justifications for nearly all of their actions, in fact, it is difficult to spot a clear breach of international law, yes, some of their actions are questionable and need weighing up for other factors, but unlike Hamas, there aren't clear breaches of international law by Israel.

That is something that carries weight, unless you are obsessively anti-Israel.

Through the lens of international law: Israel doesn't adhere to all applicable international laws and standards and practices. That's not hyperbole.

'and if you disagree with me you're obsessively anti-Israel' again please stop the nonsense.

I won't be surprised if there is another 9/11 in the US or Europe in the next 10 years.

The Ukraine war has shown terrorist that drones are the carrier of choice for cheap and deadly delivery of explosives, no need to learn how to fly a jet. The next gen of extremist in the US and Europe are currently being inspired by the complacency and the blind eye their governments are taking. Can you imagine a swarm of drones flying into Old Trafford, smaller regional airports .....

Said it before on this thread, but imo all Ukrainian refugees should be sent back. I fully support their struggle but their siding with Israel with little or no empathy for Palestinian beggers belief. They only do it in the hope of Israel backing, but by that logic, if the UK did something similar to Ireland, Ukraine would look after their self interest and back the UK. So no more.

Equally true, however, that is a bit of 'Whatabout-ism' given that anti-semitism is exponentially on the rise it seems.

Ah ok, they have it coming to them cause at the end of the day, Israel and Jews are to blame for their own plight...

Here is Oxford Educated Ullah Khans's view on the matter.

A quick flick through the posting history of that poster demonstrates they're of a far right persuasion.

Contrary to the perception that Israel has an endless supply of missiles, the reality is quite different. Each interceptor missile costs millions of dollars, making it a significant financial burden for Israel to continuously replenish its stockpile. Additionally, even with their advanced missile defense systems, there have been instances where rockets from Gaza have managed to breach Israel's defenses due to limited availability.

One of the primary concerns surrounding the potential escalation of the conflict is the possibility of Hezbollah targeting Israel's nuclear reactor sites. This represents a critical vulnerability for Israel, as any attacks on these facilities could have catastrophic consequences, not only for Israel but for the entire region. The estimated arsenal of 250,000 rockets and missiles possessed by Hezbollah, as reported by various foreign analysts, amplifies these concerns.

Their reasoning lies in the belief that this battle is the final stand against the Zionist forces. To them, the stakes are so high that they are willing to risk everything, even if it means returning to a state of chaos and destruction reminiscent of ancient times!!

The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah is alleged to possess a formidable army of 50,000 to 100,000 people. This significant manpower gives them the potential to attempt incursions into Israel. Additionally, they have adopted a similar tunnel structure as the factions in Gaza. While there are claims of tunnels extending into Israeli territory, these remain unconfirmed. Regardless, it not be an easy war for Israel.

The group has received extensive military support from Iran, including advanced weaponry and training. If Hezbollah were to use cruise missiles, which are capable of striking targets with high precision from long distances, or hypersonic ballistic missiles, which travel at speeds exceeding Mach 5, the threat level against Israel's airbases would increase significantly.

While the possibility of Hezbollah joining the war cannot be entirely ruled out, their historical inclination towards limited engagements is what they normally have done since 2006. However, it is important to note that the Axis of Resistance is not a monolithic entity with a unified ideology or strategy. There are differing viewpoints and approaches within the coalition, making it challenging to discern a singular collective mindset. Yemen Houthies now firing ballistic missiles at Israel, I wonder have made the decision to enter the war with their allies?

    This is it.

Israel will probably win this but that's not certain and may well not.

If Hezbollah and others join in, then they will need to go all out to survive.

Israel uses three different missiles the Arrow, Magic Wand and one you mentioned the Tamir. You are correct the Tamir is lower cost one that used more frequently against Gaza Rockets.

Nothing to rebut your argument that Israel doesn't face real risks of losing a war of attrition if it comes to that. OPEC+ has wealth.

    Despicable sentiments.

    So are these.

    https://www.dailysabah.com/mideast/2014/07/14/mothers-of-all-palestinians-should-also-be-killed-says-israeli-politician

As the situation widely deteriorates in the Gaza Strip, Israeli parliament member and law-maker Ayelet Shaked has stigmatized all Palestinians as terrorists, wishing death on all Palestinians while supporting the Israeli military assault.

On Monday Shaked quoted this on her Facebook page: "Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.""They have to die and their houses should be demolished so that they cannot bear any more terrorists," said Shaked. Standing behind the operations on Gaza, "they are all our enemies and their blood should be on our hands. This also applies to the mothers of the dead terrorists," Shaked added.

A day before Palestinian teenager Muhammad Abu Khudair was kidnapped and burned alive allegedly by six Israeli Jewish youths, Shaked published on Facebook a call for genocide of the Palestinians.

The posts were considered as a call for genocide because it declared that "the entire Palestinian people is the enemy" and justifies its destruction, "including its elderly and its women, its cities and its villages, its property and its infrastructure." she also called for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to "little snakes."

    Here's the murder referenced:

The kidnapping and murder of Mohammed Abu Khdeir occurred early on the morning of 2 July 2014. Khdeir, a 16-year-old Palestinian, was forced into a car by Israeli citizens on an East Jerusalem street.[4] His family immediately reported the fact to Israeli Police who located his charred body a few hours later at Givat Shaul in the Jerusalem Forest. Preliminary results from the autopsy suggested that he was beaten and burnt while still alive.[5][6][7][8] The perpetrators subsequently claimed that the attack was a response to the abduction and murder of three Israeli teens on 12 June.[2][3] The murders contributed to a breakout of hostilities in the 2014 Israel–Gaza conflict.[9][10]

    It was quoted clearly.

The Jewish State has become the aggressor in this war.

With friends like these who needs enemies?

The mask certainly slips there on how the rest of the Arab world sees the conflict and views the Palestinians.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86,725 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

If that happens the US is prepared to jump on the Houthis and Hezbollah, or intercept their incursion attempts, missiles etc. and there's US political support for that too. They have to know that. But they also aren't rational terror groups.

    More whataboutism tbh.

It reminds be of the "All Lives Matter" debate.

Its not really whataboutery though is it? It's an insight into the anti-arabism that is rife in the racist state of Israel and their inhuman savage approach to Palestinians.

Kinda like how they portray the Palestinians really....

"Senior officials in Egypt said however that the county would start taking in severely wounded Palestinians from Gaza on Wednesday to receive treatments at field hospitals in North Sinai."

"We are prepare to sacrifice millions of lives to ensure that no one encroaches upon our territory," Madbouly told a gathering in Sinai of leaders, local tribal leaders, members of parliament and other politicians. The prime minister said Egypt would never allow any imposed situation or the settlement of regional issues at its expense.

Just a note, a given all those on the left are siding with those in Gaza, and FF & FG.

Where is the pro-Israel talk come from, the supposed "right" wing.

    We see you.

Fake opposition orgs. Gript & Iona

    & their minions.

Jews make up 2.5% of the population of the US, but account for 60% of religious-based hate crimes and some want to deny this reality.

    Why?

US warships not entering the scene for nothing, it signifies that their presence is to warn Iran and others to stay out of this. In a scenario where the US actively participates in naval operations, it would undoubtedly draw attention from hostile forces. Iraq did not possess the capability to engage and neutralize US warships. On the other hand, there have been indications that Iran, a regional adversary of the United States, has obtained a counterfeit or replica version of a Chinese DF26 anti-carrier missile (homemade based on the tech). However, it is important to note that without concrete evidence, it remains speculative whether Iran possesses a knock-off version of Chinese naval technology. In life, there are times when we find ourselves in situations where we have no power to stop events from unfolding. We become mere spectators, watching as circumstances play out and accepting that what is meant to happen will happen.

South Africa Won't Support Another Apartheid

‘We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.’ Nelson Mandela’s iconic words were echoed at numerous protests held across South Africa, as thousands took to the streets to advocate for a ceasefire and an end to the genocide in Gaza. Palestine and South Africa have a history of connection, a bond South Africans have clearly not forgotten.
