That was some deluge from that front. Still a week left to top up them totals. Sryan's list is like Top of the Pops and December's 2015 is like Bryan Adams at no. 1

That December was cat altogether. Every day I looked at met.ie latest weather it was raining in Cork and heavy a lot of the time.

Didn't realise it was nearly 8 years ago. Thought it was 3 or 4. Years are flying by. The month I was born is right up there too in the top of the pops

Still pouring down here in Arklow

    33.4mm so far today

Monthly has crashed through that 200mm to 204.6 and rising

This month looking at the week ahead is going to break my station monthly record for any month looks like

I see met eireann are looking for forecasters for weather and floods. Syran could teach them a thing or two but he's probably better on the outside to keep them on their toes. Michelle said Wednesdays rain won't be as bad as today's rain and floods, but then again last night she said today's rain won't be too bad.

Been raining since end of June with the one memorable hot spell in September for a few days. The last week has been lashing. Hope we get a decent dry spell. Just need to clear up a load of stuff outside and get a good run at it.

Beautifully day in North Kerry, some dense fog this morning inland almost cleared now, a few convective type clouds about, the one below casting a shadow on the other cloud.

Sure was a lot of showers today but there's always a pot of gold to be found. Howth this evening.

That looks strange, the sun is coming from behind the cloud and yet casts a shadow on the other cloud as if shinning from the opposite side

It's gone above 101 mm now. November is in with a good shout of doing the same too, knowing what Nino Novembers are like, along with the pattern of the last few months. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being one of the wettest on record. The only very slight positive about this streak is that it started in July, unlike 1958, since that run was May to September, which is the worst possible timing.

Fog starting to form now. Listening to Shannon atc a Ryanair on the way into Shannon from Edinburgh was told that Fog is forming just above the grass now at Shannon. They told Shannon that they saw the lights at Shannon from about 100 miles away. Bar the Fog patches its a beautiful clear night with a nice moon out and great visibility.

And following on from this, another pot of gold was found. This time at the Phoenix Park this morning in the form of a fogbow. It was a great start to the day.

I was looking at the charts for the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday in Paris at 8pm. It kinda looks 50/50 for frontal rain at that time.

I mentioned this on the rugby forum and how wetter weather more scrums might suit South Africa. Well I'm being laughed out of it and told by all and sundry how weather can never be forecast 4 days in advance. One fella is even PMing me for being ridiculous 🙈

I miss talking to posters on here!

Narrow enough band of rain in the Midlands.

Seems to be the west getting the brunt of it this evening.

Surprised nobody brought up this strange Gurteen "snow shower" observation from this morning. What the hell happened there on its AWS to detect snow.
