Is Cork still there? I'm sure it is. I'm back there in the city in a few weeks for a job. Resilient people.

In other news Ms G got her junior cert results today and did very well.. We are so proud of her and delighted to see her so happy in herself. We did an Eddie Rockets and home to some Netflix. I've only finished the Netflix binge myself. Seems like yesterday I was calling her little G. Where does time go!

Aww Grandeeod that's brilliant fair play to her. 🙂

Such a disaster in Cork. Is there any targeted fundraising to help those affected. The County has always been a treat to visit and I’d like to help.

It does feel like we should help, must look into the civil defence and GoFundMe campaign for full areas

Very heavy rain here again, hopefully it wont be as bad as yesterday. Just watched Primetime, heartbreaking. I normally don't watch it but it started with the flooding and I kept on watching. There really are no words for what's going on in the world at the moment.

This is what I need today and I don’t drink either 😂😂

Oh what I would give for a coffee right now. Alas, tea & brioche, with a side of Lemsip. Whatever that bug was that got me, it really knocked me out good 😵‍💫🤒

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

I'm still not right on day six but somewhat better. Mrs G got struck down with it yesterday.

I’m suffering with a dose here in Greece, but there are compensations:

Lovely. Nice to see a blue sky.

It's lashing here. Been a real wash out of a summer and then this recent weather. 😞

Finished up with my work for the week, off now to meet a friend I haven't seen in years who's back over in Dublin for a few days for late lunch in town.

The rain is bucketing down incessantly and is utterly awful. There will definitely be serious flooding in and around Dublin this weekend, hopefully not as bad as poor East Cork. This Storm Babet is another example of climate change.

    Anywho...Happy Weekend Wherers!

Well that's a wrap for another week. I’m having beans on toast for dinner as if I start cooking it will be too late for a G&T, priorities 😎😂

    That could be my epitaph.

Commiserations to all those who are sick, I'm just merely pissed off on this dreary Friday.

I get the feeling, I'm on a nanosecond fuse over here as well. Couchside wrapped up in a blanket now, with a mug of tea and the TV running. Makes the day a little less meh...

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Comiserations ? to those who are sick . I hope it’s not the same dose I had . Seemingly it’s known as stomach flu. Or gastro something. I had it a long time ago but it knocked me for a long time.

I was watching rugby but turned it off , now on F1

Mrs G still under the weather. Ms G starting the symptoms. I'm on the way out of it thus far. What a dose! I have a hot curry in the pot so hoping I can taste it!

Interview today.. not sure if I will take job but it’s a pretty good paying one so good bit more than current n better hours too generally.

A chance at a Saturday off.. it’s been almost a year 😭 but I do love my current place and I’d hate to leave. Lots of pros and cons. Also closer to home so I’d save a bomb at the pumps.

Prospective jobs a manager role as well so that’s a good bit more stress too. Much to think about. 🤔

if I do leave it’s gonna suck to give notice though. 😭

I'm older than you and have been promised all kinds of shıt to jump ship.

My advice? Get it in writing, you could jump out of the frying pan into the fire. I say that as someone who's been in a public sector, heavily unionised role all my working life.

The grass is rarely ever greener.

Thats a dilemma alright . Im sure if you like your current job it’s probably replicated so they won’t hold you back.

Watching The Shining on bbc2 . I’ve only heard and seen clips of it .

Just in the leaba, watched the Jack the ripper documentary, thought it was good but with hindsight they totally messed up the investigation. It would make you think twice about being on your own out at night.

    Good luck with the interview.

Heading back to work, but all I have to do today is climb on a scheduled flight and head to a hotel.
