I have a wee sickness upon me. In bed all day yesterday and today. Very unlike me. Starting to feel somewhat better. Second dose in two months. Ate today at last. May stand to me in all hope. Back in the leaba with socks on and two hot water bottles. Sweat it out round two!

Out of action over here as well. Bit of fever, but mostly just coughing and dizziness. Just signed out at work for today. I guess Lemsip will be the order of the day...

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Got home this morning, BLUE was extremely happy to see me but not so happy to see the OH, a bit of snarling and growling when she got between him and me. He definitely is a pack animal with me as leader. We have to find a way to stop this.

    Caesar Milan The Dog Whisperer

I found out today that I am totally not with the youth of today as they are all getting lip fillers, Botox etc I may book myself an appointment to get them 😄

    No seriously don't!

I honestly just had this conversation about 30 minutes ago about how they are ruining their faces.

They'll be given Sylvester Stallone's mother a run for her money by the time they are 35!

I honestly think stricter laws need to come in for cosmetic surgery.

Yes, I knew the dog whisperer/trainer guy, but Julius Caesar sounded more appropriate for Blue. He needs a Roman Emperor to sort him out. 😁

That looks gorgeous. Listening to the wind and rain here.

I have never seen flooding like this before, unreal. Everyone sent home from work, Cork is submerged, crazy stuff.

Deskside here in my home office, rain is bucketing down outside on this dull late afternoon.

Busy day meeting my new batch of dissertation students online via MS Teams that I will be supervising over the course of the academic year. Lots of excuses as to why their draft proposals have not yet been finished and submitted!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,481 ✭✭✭Princess Calla

I bet each student thinks their excuse is original 😂😂😂

Heading for Cork again on Saturday so I hope the flooding has subsided. Got a much prized ticket to An Tuairin Dubh in the Everyman. That is above flood level anyhow and I'm willing to wade or swim to get there. Must brush up on the Gaeilge I learnt in Ballingeary many, many years ago.

Homeside here, curled up on the sofa. Been dealing with a pretty nasty cold over the last two days.

On. The bright side, I was able to stay high and dry today, as my office is right in the flood zone...

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Dark, cold and lashing here. Those pictures of Greece look like a different world far far away @Addmagnet

Looking bad in Cork. My God.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,386 ✭✭✭Poochie05

@Addmagnet The colour of that sea!

I'm home, glad I decided to leave the office while it was still bright. Wasn’t too bad here until lunchtime but lots of surface water about on drive home. Nothing like the pictures I’ve seen of Cork though 😱 hope you are all ok down there.

I feel so bad for those flooded out. I'm sure they could not have got insurance and I just don't know where the resolve comes from to pick up and go again.
