Was considering buying a mf 35 for topping fields on marginal land. Would 35 be strong enough to top. Any advice on what to look out for appreciated.

35 should be well able for a topper up to 6 feet I would imagine (My neighbour has what looks like a 6 foot offset on his) If you are cutting heavy rushes you may have to give 2 passes or it will be under pressure, just rise the lift a foot or so off the ground for the first pass and you should be OK then the second time round. I have 85hp and if I go too fast into a heavy crop it will die the engine back.
