What does the certification allow you to do, compared to somebody with the same knowledge that lacks certification

Nothing is the answer to that. Certification would be a step towards becoming a Passive House Certifier. Done that course over 10 years ago but because of the lack of interest in Passive house building I have not had any opportunity to use it.

Perhaps but it is some indication that some training has been done as opposed to just being in the room on TikTok while the course was being delivered!

Wouldn’t it be the online exam that does that rather than the “certification”. An exam at the end of complex course should be a given. It separates pass from fails.

A course resulting in accreditation implies that the course is required to preform some aspect of the role. Maybe it’s simply a case of being a certified to advertise the course as training you’ve undertaken. But I was also just wondering if it was required to certify that a house was a passive house - or if performance was a sufficient metric.
