HP Omen 27" gaming monitor - €199 Harvey Norman

Anyone buy this? Interested myself.

Is this not the same spec (minus rotation) but for €30 cheaper (after applying the £20 off voucher)?

I would say less than 1% of people who buy that monitor would use it in portrait mode.

And if you are, you're likely using it as a secondary monitor and will probably be mounting it to the same stand as your other monitor(s), and those mounts will be rotatable for both monitors.

€30 extra for rotation is very easy to argue with, because you can get a Vesa stand with rotation for less than €30.

More importantly, like I said, barely anyone uses that feature.

Amazon is the vendor for one monitor, and Harvey Norman the other.

That person is stating that they're rather pay extra to deal with Harvey Norman's customer service than Amazon's.

Koorui have existed for years, and you've evidently never had to deal with HP's customer service which has a reputation as being one of the worst.

It's much more likely you'll have issues with the monitor within the return window than outside of it, so you're choosing a worse customer service that you're more likely to use, and therefore using bad logic.

But hey, if you tend to play "who can throw the monitor the furthest?" a lot, go for it.

Which is what I said. And it's nonsense. I returned an MSI monitor to Amazon two months ago because of two dead pixels. I did not have demonstrate that it was broken, nor did I have to drive to a store.

Your logic of Amazon being less convenient is certainly a first for me.

Koorui have sold monitors on Amazon for years, and HP has a reputation as having one of the worst customers services in the world. Koorui do not have that reputation. You're the one rolling the dice.

If it was 1440P it might be attractive, 27" 1080 is a bit of a step backwards IMHO.
