Probably more likely than an upset in two weeks time. Very unlikely though I would imagine. Scotland have to get a TBP out of this game though or they’re done.

Hoping for an Oz win. They are a mess but Wales are such wads of shyt. EJ is the ayatollah of assholes. What a langer.

Rassie to Scotland! You heard it here 1st!

Don't think Scotland will get much change out of that Tongan scrum.

No idea why Kinghorn didn't just dive on that loose ball. Poor decision.

    Tonga really aren't good, lads.

No chance Scotland don't saunter to a bonus point.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,054 ✭✭✭fitz

Yeah, just dive on it and slide over.

Poor from Tonga to give away a penalty after a solid scrum and great clearance, and it leads to Scotland's first try.

COVID really did a number of these guys' ability to compete.

Why is he going back for the scrum advantage? He just told Ritchie he was illegal at the ruck, and then goes back for a knock on only?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,067 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That was a lethal handoff by the Tonga winger.

Never a knock on by Tonga so should never have been a 50-22

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,046 ✭✭✭standardg60

That wasn't a 50/22, it has to bounce in the 22 before going out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

Tonga players not really on the same page as each other.

    Nice Tonga!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Yeah but Scotland have almost got stuck a few times against teams like that. They get cocky far too easy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,067 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

As soon as Piutau took contact between the two Scottish tacklers you knew he was going to offload the ball. Brilliant in attack.

    Go on tonga

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Big Duhan is an absolute liability defensively. It's embarrassing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 293 ✭✭joficeduns1

Duhan VDM is such a bottler in defense. Hon Tonga.

    Lovely.

Ritchie is illegal at every ruck, absolutely dumb..cost them penalty advantage there and probably that try. Scotland really lack smarts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,122 ✭✭✭Shehal

I feel im hoping for too much for that to happen. I would just settle for Scotland not getting a try bonus point!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,067 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Jesus.

I felt that impact to Steyn's ribs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Tonga screwed over here by dickson

That's twice now he has gone back for a scrum after a Scotland offence at a ruck

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,067 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That should be a penalty to Scotland.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 742 ✭✭✭bingobango12

Tongs putting in some monstrous hits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Dixon is really making Tonga work for anything from him, there's a few rucks there that could have been called for holding on by Scotland.

The Scots are flopping over and past a lot of rucks too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 588 ✭✭✭CptMonkey

    Soft call

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,054 ✭✭✭fitz

Again, why is he going back for a knock on here? Told Scotland to release, they didn't, then fell down on the wrong side, and he goes back for a scrum? Am I missing something here?

The no arms tackle is picked up, so doesn't matter in this case, but this is the second time he seems to have gone back for a knock on advantage for a Tonga when Scotland kill the ball and should be giving up a penalty.

And now that no arms tackle has been costly...

No try if the Tonga 10 isn't silly with the tackle on Steyn. He was going nowhere surrounded by two defenders in the touchline.
