Any recommendations for app to purchase Italian bus tickets

I'm trying 'ticket bus verona' which appears to be the local busses in the area I'll be visiting. Registration is fine, it claims it'll send me an SMS.

And it doesn't. Couple of attempts, 2 different phone numbers. Nothing.

Is 'omio' reliable? There's a lot of flogging of it online but some fairly negative reviews, too. And I'm concerned that Omio's just the aggregator, the lack of a functioning app directly provided by the bus company might mean that the bus company is dodgy as well. Should I simply just risk it and buy tickets in person?

rather than worry about the app, maybe look into day tickets or the 10 journey ticket

From what I can see a single journey is €2 bought on the bus or 1.50 via the app, but, you can get a day ticket for a fiver OR €8 for a mini group day ticket for 2 adults and a clatter of kids. A ten journey ticket is €12 so again a great deal.

Wierdly, they only sell a lot of the tickets via the bus company offices but at least theres a good few of those
