They will have greater control on the channels that aren’t licensed for outside the UK. It won’t be manually possible to add the itv and ch5 channels like you can do on a satellite receiver!

That’s exactly the case, there’s no satellite tuner in either Glass or Stream, though Glass (not Stream, obviously) does have a terrestrial tuner that’s intended as a backup only when internet is down.
