Oh and FTR calling trump a rapist isn’t an insult it’s a legal finding of fact.

Then do so in the Biden thread; but as has been mentioned this is the Trump thread so either put up, or shut up as the saying goes. But stop trying to act affronted that ... gosh, a noted vulgarian is getting as good as he gives.

You've attempted three times to get a rise out of people here and failed.

Your pro-MAGA talking point is not a "fact" and I would invite you to debate over on the Russia thread where we've gone over multiple factors of how the war came about.

If anything Trump's 4 years may have been enough to set the stage for what Putin eventually did Ukraine. He attempted to cause strife within NATO, while at best he was merely friendly with Putin and at worst a possible asset for him (let's not forget Helsinki). Russia knew they only had a limited window of time to attempt the invasion of Ukraine, and may have been banking on another Trump term. When that didn't happen they were likely counting on the Biden White House and the EU to fail to support Ukriane, but that gamble backfired on them.

Trump would have tried to award Ukraine to the Russians, which is what the "need for talks" or Trump's talk of a "deal" essentially mean. Award the Russians territory in repayment for aggression. This would only result in further suffereing for the Ukrainians and embolden the Russians to attempt further invasions. Military defeat of Russia is the main sure path to limiting civilian death in Ukraine and to contain the Russians. The Biden Administration, despite being boring as all hell, has at very least been consistent and exacting in thier support of Ukraine's war against Russia.

Trump couldn't even manage to stay consistent in the fight against a pandemic, and allowed his own childish ego to encourage an attitude amoung the MAGA folk to shun face coverings. He would be worse than useless in an actual war, especially if the other side started pandering to his ego.

Again, seems fine to me. Vulgarian insecure about his weight is getting mocked. Biden's fair game but can't be accused of throwing it out either with the same degree. By your own words: sauce for the goose.

You are missing the fundamental point. It is Trump who trades in insults. He does it to everyone, all the time. Therefore, you cannot blame others for using his tactics. It is different with others, like Biden, who doesn't abuse others.

Trumps entire sthick is based on abuse others. From calling all refugees rapists and murderers, to is mocking of a disabled reporter. He using nicknames for everyone, alls others fat, thick, skinny whatever.

Biden and most other politicians, don't do that.

This is Trump mocking Christie with personal insults.

He can give it out but when the same is returned to him suddenly his defenders start getting bothered about personal insults. The same defenders who executed the usual "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" policy when it comes to Trump. Blatant hypocrisy and double standards.

If you throw stones from glass houses, expect some thrown back at you.

ps Trump is also a depraved rapist. That's a statement of fact.

I think MisterAnarchy's point is that one poster here said "Hey, you shouldn't insult Biden by calling him a walking corpse", and therefore every single one of us are all hypocrites for insulting Trump.

Which very much seems to come from the same school of thinking as "Hillary improperly used an email server so why shouldn't I be allowed to keep classified documents in a bathroom and show them to people?! Hypocrites!"

Of course they are. What do you think conscription is? Their country is literally fighting for the right to exist. I abhor conscription but when the alternative is oblivion, this is the only option. Your Putinist narrative and snappy comments do not change this.

And if theoretically, Russia were to invade this country, would the solution be to tell all foreign countries to mind their own business, or to roll over and surrender?

    Utter nonsense.

Had you never heard about Conscription before today? It's well known Ukraine has a conscripted army; I'm not even sure I'd fight were Ireland invaded, for a host of reasons that doesn't equate to "the enemy should just take over". But that's neither here nor though; as you had in other threads, you're trying to dirty the water that Ukraine, as a whole, wants to fight at all. By way of some single examples of those (rightly) reluctant to take up arms. But by all accounts show some examples of public dissent, protest or wholesale opposition to Kyiv's attempts to resist the Russian invasion.

Or don't. Cos this is the Trump thread, and your tanky mentality isn't wanted either way.

An actual successful business person wouldn't be shy about providing the link to their web store, and would know what part firewalls play in Web requests. They would also be aware that it isn't the 90s and phones have the Internet now

We had no shortage of idiots who spent 2016 telling him to Drain the swamp, now they're coming out with this.

It's not an ordinary member of the public we're talking about.

I'm loving how he has made all his fans look like such clowns in having to pivot as much as they have to so as to find an angle to defend him.

'Ba da da, daa daaaa....I'm loving it'.

Trump is such an innocent rapist that he’s transferring his assets to his kids. For real, this time, not a table of empty folders.

Maybe he's finally divesting himself of his assets like most others have when they became President. It's probably been on his to-do list for a while.

the address corresponds to that of Trump's Palm Beach residence, and so does its size, roughly.

I guess real estate listings have to be accurate on dimensions, unlike criminals.

So let's get this clear, the precedent you wish to establish is allowing a President to face no criminal charges for inciting a riot and attempting to change an election result. You basically want to allow to setup a circumstance that would allow for any sitting president to attempt to become a totalitarian leader. If they fail, they'll get pardoned.

For a person who pretends to be moderate in relation to politics, you basically support enabling dangerous leaders to experiment even further with what they can get away with as president. And let's be entirely realistic, you seem to adore the most ideologically dodgy of candidates. Be it Vivek or DiSantis, they have far more interest in dismantling freedoms than any democrats.

If your Friday afternoon is going slow, and you want it to go a little slower, SKY News have, for some reason, a live feed of the Fulton County jail on the day after Trump surrendered there.

A lot of people don't appreciate just how cleverly President Biden handled and is handling the Ukraine war.

He has indeed played a blinder, the old dog for the hard road and the young pup for the boreen.

"Very soon we are going to Mars. You wouldn't have been going to Mars if my opponent won, that I can tell you. You wouldn't even be thinking about it."

    Donald Trump, March 13th 2018.

Remember, he's also suggesting that Trump should be pardoned in order to diffuse tensions and not risk unnecessary escalation.

So the punishment for inciting your followers to riot, should be to have the person pardoned, a person who has claimed he would then pardon many of the rioters, to prevent their followers from rioting again.

It really is an absurd and hilarious argument.

My Irish metaphor translator broke. What did you say?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,760 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

Especially when there's not a word of criticism from them for Trump's LOCK HER UP conduct.

Previous actual defences include that Trump didn't succeed in locking up Hilary therefore he didn't actually do anything wrong!

It's just standard "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" policy that has to be adopted in order to keep defending a depraved rapist who tried to subvert election results to hold onto power.

At most I'm expecting a response that amounts to "you're wrong" while dodging the content of the post. He does seem to accept he's guilty now and has moved onto why the justice system shouldn't do its job.
