Lottery for this opened up last week. Threw an entry in but from reading on here, it appears to be a long shot to get a bib that way. GFA for this one is a long long long way off for me.

2.32 is some standard, the lottery would be the only chance of running the Tokyo marathon for most.

I would love to do a major and have a slim chance of Boston this year, 1 minute 30 seconds under the GFA time for this year.

There are virtual races for Tokyo every few months, where u can win entry to the actual marathon.

Many people apply for this for 2024?

I applied, and a little apprehensive, if I'd actually like to do it, if I get selected. It's a very long way to travel.

But alternatively. Tokyo :D

A quick search on Google flights shows them to be in the €1200 range.
