BMW boot won't ope

Hi. I have a 2010 BMW 318. For some reason the back light wasn't working when the boot was closed. The light would work when the boot was open but when I close the boot the light would turn off. I disconnected the electronic boot hitch to try and fix it, but now I can't open my boot. I can't get into my boot from the inside as the back seats don't fold down and there is no physical key slot in the boot. So it's completely locked and I can't get into it.

Any suggestions?

On an e46, you had to smash the right rear fog light, and that would get you access to pull a rod/cable for the boot locking mechanism.

But.. if your boot has an emergency release thing like the US cars have

Any suggestions for the original problem? The back tail light works fine when the boot is open, but then for some reason when the boot is closed the light turns off .. There is no visual problems with wires from what I can see. All looks fine.
