ELECTRIC SHOWER EXTENSION ARM ?

Hi,

So I want to fit an electric shower on the wall facing into my bath as I cannot afford a whole new corner shower and bathroom renovation. The issue I have is the existing bath is centered under the window and while it looks nice it means there is a space at either end of 300mm and that's not accounting for the lip of the bath. Obviously if someone were to take a shower the run off must flow into the bath but as it stands it will hit the aforementioned space which while tiled , won't be suitable . So I had an idea to find an extension arm to bring shower out further but mostly all that is available are the rain shower poles. I have 2 questions

1) Can I use the rainwater arm with an elec shower or will it need to be a power shower and ..

2) If not suitable can anyone recommend something that would work with an electric shower which will be probably a triton t 90 or similar. Thanks !

Most rain heads are designed for power showers and not electric shower. Triton have designed on for electric shower. (linked below). I have fitted dozens of these & they do work well with electric shower

Oh cool thank you ! Any idea how long the arm is though ? I need it to over gang the shelf, looks like I’d still need an extension bar but thank you very much for your help .

Fantastic, I might just get out with that, and thank you very much for your great advice one last question if you don’t mind but can I angle the rainwater head at all or is it fixed?

The rain head can be tilted & this could push the water a little further again from the wall. Another couple of inches maybe

This won't work for electric shower unfortunately. OP needs shower head designed for gravity system. Electric shower has flow rate of 3 to 5 litres per minute. A 10 inch head is going to to need 15 litres per minute or else it will dribble out

The description and reviews say it will work but you are the man fitting them, maybe it might be worth a punt to just find out for sure and no loss as can be sent back if it's no use.

The problem is all spurious manufacturers claim this but in practice you would have to runaround the shower to get wet with heads like this in an electric shower. They are designed for high pressure systems. The bigger the head the bigger the flow rate required. 10" is a big head & requires about three times the flow rate that an electric shower can produce.. It's the same with spurious shower hoses. The claim suitable for electric showers but compare the size of the hole inside the hose & you see genuine Triton, Mira hose has a very large opening allowing water at low pressure to flow freely. The spurious hose would usually have a third of the size opening. This restricts the flow of the water causing the shower to cycle scalding/freezing

can the rain head be moved left or right ?want to fit this in a corner omwall of shower so won't be able to stand under fully straight on.

I sent you a PM but will post here too in case anyone else needs the information further down the line.

They can swivel slightly to the left and right. I would suggest that they are suitable for center or off centre but I'm not sure if they will swivel enough to install in a corner. The idea is that the rain head ends up in the centre. You could double check with Triton 01 6286711
