Just wait for the next U2 shows in Ireland if you think these sales are stressful

Thanks, but how do you know what part to change?

It's just the number/letter combo ( e.g. 18005EF38C87151E) you change if you want to switch days. If you have the email from MCD for the presale, and you click on the link for each day, the identifier is in each link. Clicking the links from the email won't allow you to access the search for tickets, as it just gives you a page showing the general sale countdown.

I'm getting an error now for all days. Either they've plugged the hole or all the released tickets are gone again.

Do we know what percentage of all the tickets were released for both pre sales?

They won't tell us that , that might kill the hype just like the barstewards won't tell us the ticket prices in advance which should be a legal requirement if you ask me.

Covid and comedy gigs aside a 13 month gap is fairly stretchy gap of time

Nice to have something to look forward too I suppose

The good times are well and truly back

Completely agree re ticket prices. It beggars belief that it's not a legal requirement.

Seems to vary a lot from gig to gig, but is a very regular accruence for most larger gigs, and has also, become much more common in last few years.

Price transparency/consumer protection is legislated for practically everything, except gigs.

    Is a 4th date likely?

I think I may be in trouble I bought 4 on my own account through the normal pre sale which were vertigo seats and one of my party actually has vertigo. I then got 4 standing on my partner's account for the same day however I used the same card to purchase both so the same name is on all the tickets. Will they actually cancel them? What would they crosscheck the tickets by? Is it emails or accounts or card used? I went in to resell the first lot of tickets back to them but I can't just yet. If I approach them will they likely cancel the lot?. I know loads who wud use all 8 but am happy to just keep the standing tickets.

I don't believe U2 would sell out 4 nights in Croke Park, as it stands Coldplay are bigger and there would be a lot more hype about Coldplay, mainly due to social media.

There’s usually a 48 hour cooling off period so maybe try cancel the vertigo seats? I’ve done it b4 for gigs where I got better seats in gen sale. You get refunded but lose the booking fees

Yes no option to cancel the tickets.

I looked it up and it does appear to be a 24 hour cooling off period.

I am in the same boat, bought 2 seated for the Thursday on my ticketmaster account but needed 4 which weren't available at the time and then 10 minutes after I bought them the Sunday gig was announced so my daughter rushed on a managed to get 4 standing for the Sunday on her ticketmaster account. Both sets of tickets were bought with my bank cards but one was ptsb and the other is a Revelut. I would be more then happy to return the 2 seated but just dont want the 4 standing cancelled. I have been googling and it seems ticketmaster can cancel the tickets but it seems very very rare that they do. I would hope and imagine its more so that they can cancel obvious touting tickets but who knows. I thought we would be fine as I didnt realise it was by household at the time but what wasnt clear was is it 4 tickets per tour or per gig.

A long, long time ago I accidently got two sets of tickets for U2 on Ticketmaster which put me over the quoted limit.

Fearing I would have the tickets cancelled I got on to Ticketmaster and explained. The reply was "Well do you want them?" and I said yeah and they said grand so and everything was fine.

I don't think Ticketmaster really want the hassle of checking if everyone got the right amount of tickets and cancelling them if not so I'd imagine you should be ok.

Thanks for the feedback all. Hopefully the sheer volume of tickets make it's too much hassle for them to check. Plus the fact it was different presales and also two different accounts. Hopefully it will be fine. I won't be selling any. 6 will go to family and 2 friends so genuine fans will get use of them.

Also just to say I saw this tour in New York last summer and it was unbelievable. It will be a fantastic night for everyone. Well worth the price. I have no doubt!

I have exceeded ticketmaster's ticket limit multiple times for rugby matches in the past, never had a bother.

You probably will be fine to be fair. As others have said, its there more for those picking up so many tickets that there's obvious touting going on. And also as you have said, its 2 for one night and 4 for another and whilst its clear that there's a four per household limit, its not clear if that's four per household PER GIG (I would argue that its per gig and not 'per Coldplay'). Additionally, whilst it wasn't a 'general sale', you're still within the general sale limit which is 6 so clearly there's a tolerance for people getting six tickets.

I'd be really really surprised if they cancelled them. I think you'll be absolutely fine.

I'm the horrors now reading the last few queries...

My oh got 4 seated for Sunday, nosebleed, but hey ho. Didn't realise my daughter got 4 seated on the same night, paid for by different card.

Surely they don't enforce a household limit, I mean we both can have exclusive and similar interests in concerts?

How would they even know you are from the same household? Do you need to give an address if the tickets are being transferred digitally.

Umm good question, surnames and addresses are the same in the bank details section, even though different banks ...ok, I'm reading too much into this!!

Can’t believe some households were lucky enough to get multiple sets of tickets!! I don’t know anyone that managed to get tickets. Thought I had a great setup to get some with three devices going! Those that were successful, any tips for tomorrow? I joined the waiting room for the 4 dates at exactly 9.45, once it opened. Some people joined at 10 and seemed to get in ahead? Are you better off doing that or is it really just pot luck? Never had hassle with tickets like this before!

I would imagine the billing address of the credit cards used if they really wanted to dig deep to find it.

You do know that joining the queue from the waiting room is random?

There's no benefit to being first in the waiting room. If there was, they might as well just make that the queue, and everyone would try to join at 9:30
