No. Its just vanity and arrogance on Musk's part. It does absolutely nothing to enhance the offering of the platform or UX (pardon the pun)

If Elon were to read this I'd tell him two things.

1) People have been 'hoovering' not vacuuming, for 115 years. You call them Xs (exes?) if you like, users will call them tweets forever.

2) People in the global west absolutely will not trust a unified platform for social media, banking, online shopping etc. Expecially not one operated by you alone, where on a whim, you could ruin people's information and property.

Chinese walls (ironic) between our banking and email and shopping and social media are desirable for security and personal peace of mind, not inconvenient.

What he's done today just accelerates the descent of his 44 billion quid to Zero.

It does or, at best, a placeholder name, the way people say 'you need x to do y'. It is one of the most forgettable names I've heard.

Everyone of his companies has been hacked at one time or another including his own Twitter account and he expects people to trust him with their money.

Some ejits will of course fools and their money and all that.

AI powered so no need for real human staff at all then.

You can buy a lot of fake friends with the kind of money that Musk possesses, but you can never buy true popularity or charisma with it and this is the one thing that Musk seems to crave above all else.

Very true! He has no one to be honest with him, just enablers.

At this stage its worth wondering just how much Musk was ever actually involved in any of the successes of PayPal/Tesla/SpaceX.

He likely helped them financially sure but this whole accidental Twitter purchase and literally every single decision he has made since then has shown he is a below average businessman and certainly no genius.

So hes either had some kind of breakdown recently that has debilitated him severely, or was just incredibly good at claiming credit for what others did possibly buying them off so they wouldn't reveal the truth.
