I had an EV charger, with accompanying CT clamp and Harvi installed in January 2022. Got solar panels this year and only then discovered the CT and/or Harvi don't work properly.(Charger works without them, they are only needed to charge fully from solar) Do I have any comeback with the installer after a year and a half?

The right to a remedy applies for at least 2 years across the EU. Member States are allowed to set longer time limits (known as limitation periods). In Ireland, the limitation period is 6 years. This means you are entitled to raise a problem about a product for up to 6 years from the date of buying.

Believe it or not you have up to 6 years to raise a complaint. This doesn't mean that the goods must last 6 years but if they don't last a reasonable amount of time then you might have a case. Just because someone offers you a 12 months warranty doesn't mean they aren't liable after the warranty.

Whoever sold you the goods is liable. If your installer supplied then they are liable. It's up to you to prove that they haven't failed from overuse.

Not familiar with them but it looks like there's only a ct clamp and wireless communication between harvi and ev charger

So it could be setup issue , communication issue or a faulty unit by the sound of it

May not be difficult to diagnose . You'd still have comeback on faulty equipment

Thanks for all the info, guys. Have spoken to installer. Problem diagnosed over phone and will be fixed this week.
