Meal price summer 2023

I wouldn't be expecting any huge lift for what is to be harvested this year. Last year the spike was early in the year and the grain futures spiked and farmers could forward sell. I'd say most people that do that have sold already and those depending on the coops for stuff off the combine aren't going to benefit. Think from a coop point of view. Farmers have sold already and will sell soon once harvest really get going. The coop can sell it on for more on the market then for extra profit to them

I know that, but the key word there is producer. I don't believe we'll see a big jump for off combine grain over and above what's been talked about at the minute. Maybe 20 a ton max extra (wheat up around the 250 mark). I hope i'm wrong though of course and the price is much higher. It will of course be passed back in meal prices, possibly even before the grain price is set!
