I didn't need to activate mine, was ready to use and used it at the weekend shopping. When I went to activate on the site it said already activated.

I got mine this week but it was already activated this time. Try checking the balance. The activation website details are on the sheet the card came on.

The email address we used to use with the man’s name in to activate the card is not supplied on the sheet that’s why I asked here

never had to do that by email. Just activated on the website. This one was already activated though, as I said.

I got my final €10 from Irish Opinions. I told them I wasn't uploading ID and could he cash it out from his side and send it to me. I had 10.25 on my account they took it all and then sent me on a virtual mastercard. I'm not pushed at losing the 25 cents once I got the tenner. Unless they remove the ID requirement in the future I'm not bothering doing anymore surveys. I'm just going to stick with focus groups Ireland I got lazy with them as it takes so long to reach the 30 but as it was taking me a month to get 10 lately from the others it will probably work out the same. So if anyone has 10 and not wanting to give the ID ask them to send it from their side.

Had a really weird one from Acumen this morning about a bank. Nearly had to contact my solicitor to decipher the wording for me.

They knew what they were doing as well as they asked at the end if I was able to understand it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,031 ✭✭✭✭Jim_Hodge

Had that one a few days ago and before they asked if I understood I had already commented that I couldn't understand most of it. The jargon used was unreal and I can't see how they'll gain anything from the results.

maybe everyone knows this already but i will mention it anyway

for those that shop in tesco and use the clubcard and visit www.tescoviews.ie and leave a short review they add 25 points to your account and they say you could win €250 tesco gift card

I do it every month and they add the points, but just to make people aware they don't always add the points each month but you do get them eventually. In June I had 3 months worth April May and June added all the same day at the end of June. That happened another time too but I do always get them.

Hi sorry what's this about having to provide ID in irish opinions? I haven't been on the site in about 9 weeks after a long period in hospital. Last time I checked I had about 30 in points in my account!! Tvh I used to always get their tesco gift cards but they can't be used online and due to ill health I'm now forced to do virtually all my grocery shopping online, so it's a bit of a palaver. Might be gircrx to cash out for penneys or amazon gift cards I can use online ir give as a gift.

This thing of providing ID is madness. I refuse to do any such thing. Talk about commie Ireland 🙄🙄🙄

i have been researching the company that is in place to take out photo id and they seem very secure and it is certainly safer than giving anything to irish opinions, as i am looking into it there is a report that comer has been hacked and there is also the hse that was compromised last year so how safe is our data anywhere really

it wasn't just me then, i hadnt a clue what it was about and yes dont know how they will gain anything as i was just clicking away on whatever just to finish it and told them i couldnt understand most of it at the end. pointless survey for the bank

Saw that!! And they try passing it off as a 60 min survey 🤣🤣🤣 eh no thanks. Same as few mins ago they offered a 50c survey saying 5 mins. 10 mins in was only 17% complete and the questions were SOOOO repetitive the one thing over and over and over again. I said life's too bloomin short for this carry on and clicked out of it. Starting to sound like IO are up to their old tricks again. Am at 37 euros if I can round it up to the 40 will take my money and run lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,538 ✭✭✭bmc58

You're taking a major chance leaving your balance at €37. And you have clicked out of a survey that you were doing.IO don't like pannelists doing that.If I was you I would cash out the €30 and work on getting the next €10.It is not advisable to build a large balance with IO.Just my experience and opinion.

Got to €10 this evening and claimed it expecting to have to do the Driving Licence and photo for verification of my account .But not at all.Claimed my €10 and got the usual reply a SMS number to my phone that I return to IO to complete my claim.

I got this e mail back,

    Hi Billy,

Your Irish Opinions account has been verified and secured with the following number..087 *******.

You are now able fully utilise your account and redeem rewards.

I did give IO my mobile number ages ago(and have had no problem since) so this seems to have saved me from further verification.
