Hello, my reverse light is staying switched on permanently when the car is started so I'm looking for a fix please.

Just wondering if I have to change out the switch itself in the engine, I don't know where to find it, if it's an easy fix I'll change it but if it's a pain I'll hand it over to a professional.

    Cheers.

Usually just bolted onto the exterior of the gearbox housing, not sure exactly where on that car but get it in the air if you have means to, and look for a sensor wire on the bell housing that will be your reverse light sensor.

Thanks I'll have a look. Can't raise the car so might need a mechanic.

Probably best leave it to a mechanic so, should be a cheap job Probably take 15 minutes start to finish. Most expensive bit will be the sensor itself, could probably get away with good quality aftermarket part for that particular sensor.
