Toyota navigation multimedia registration

We got a newish (221) Corolla estate a few weeks ago.

When Navigation is selected it just shows a compass and a message that the navigation is not registered.

I had no success registering it on the Toyota website - the multimedia model is not listed and I cannot find a model number. I have managed to register the actual car with them.

Any suggestions short of going back to the dealer who is an hour away?

Hi I have a 2023 Corrola and was the same. You need to have an online Toyota account and a Toyota app called MyToyota. You link the app and account to the car and the smart services are activated. Hope it helps.

For some reason when I go to the Play Store the Toyota App isn't available in my region.

I found an app called "MyT by Toyota" in the Play store that says it would install for me.

I found the UK Toyota Owner's Club forum extremely useful when trying to sort out an issue with the infotainment system my wife's Yaris. Someone even emailed me a software update that solved my issue.

Some progress to report.

MyT now installed. The reason it was blocking me for the region was that Google Play thought my phone was in Australia.
