I hope the country (how many are left watching this) realise elected TDs and unelected Senators are on the whole, absolutely mind-bogglingly useless.

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

You'd expect a senator to have some oratorical skills.

What difference does it make to RT or NK whether he had "broadcasting services" or "consultancy fees" on the invoice?

He also clearly said he did not believe he was taking public money. Their understanding was that Renault were paying the invoices.

    They have survived.

They're in control of the committee now thanks to the last 3 committee members ineptitude.

    No focus at all.

Again it's his accent it was English understood it after the first question by listening. Giving out about someone and not liking them is fine but to pick it on someone's accent is low IMO.

Eh....how much time off do you think the average worker gets Kelly ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,527 ✭✭✭tobefrank321

All the work Tubridy did doesn't mean its ok to submit fake invoices in exchange for public funds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,015 ✭✭✭Montage of Feck

I've only been watching this for five minutes and Tubridy is grating.

Don't worry, Enda Kenny promised to reform the Seanad in 2011.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Fintan’s time I’d almost up. Hopefully his publicly funded career is almost up as well!

Teams in field sports often play to the level of their opponents.

You can see Kelly struggling here with Warfields line and drifting.

Fintan speaks well but that's about it. He asks nothing with any teeth in it. Has his questioning delved into anything, called out any anomalies, suggested that there are grounds for "untruths." So what if Tubridy's association with RTE puts him in the spotlight for extracurricular activities.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 210 ✭✭XLR 8

I was under the impression NK knew little about how RTE operates. Seems to be an expert now on how they fund various elements of the organisation.

NK has done a great job as agent protecting his client's interests hasn't he?

He colluded in an under the counter scheme.

The invoices were fake. No consultancy services were provided. He colluded either by design or incompetence. And incompetence is no defence when it comes to fraud. It certainly demonstrates he failed to protect his client.

If he was such a good agent, he would have gotten it all done above board.

But nope, greed for this extra money on top of Tubridy's huge salary was all they were thinking about.

In light of todays proceedings, i just hope Dee gets over her mental illness and decides to attend these hearings. It could be illuminating.

    Grandstand for me job

Bounce this lad out and get started on the rest

He should go back to taking pics of himself in the nip with a rainbow flag mocking the church

That's about his level. But here he is, a Senator on an Oireachtas committee!

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

Ffs, no point in asking for RTE to annually publish your contract when you won't publically query the figures they released previously for you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,309 ✭✭✭evolvingtipperary101

Griffin gets Kelly to once again state that the €75k side income was initiated by RTE and baked into the contract talks from the very genesis.

Really not sure why Kelly gets 15% of revenue for something he didn't create...

Ryan, you are the codology. You're the problem. You. Kelly. And RTE.

Warfield would be better off belting out the Broad Black Brimmer with the family band. Is he the best that SF can come up with? Jesus.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 87 ✭✭Irishdancer

oh FS- RT suggesting taht "in the future" his contract is published.

    Unbelievable Hubris

He's offering to be open and transparent in the future.

    this is narcissistic garbage. Seriously.

Thanks for that offer Ryan. I think I'd prefer if I never heard your voice again. Ever.

RT will go into mediation around his future employment. They will agree some kind of package but there is no chance he will work on radio or TV for RTE. No chance whatsoever.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?
