From a constructors point of view only for Max being so dominant things wouldn't be as comfortableas they are. Even if you take Checos points away Max would be leading the constructors for RB with just his points

Mclaren really pushing their P2/P3 on the grid on social media. Reminds me of Mayo celebrating beating Dublin in the semis, you've not won it yet lads!

Agreed, but it’s still a great result for them.

Ryanair lashing salt into the wound.... like when the fella in the chipper gives you the container to put your own salt on your chips

^ Some good natured ribbing. The red flag and the fast drying track was going to catch someone out, he got unlucky again. 😭

When did Ryanair get so into F1, who ever runs the social media are pretty ruthless

The more it happens the less it can be considered unlucky. At this rate he'll be doing well too stay in the car for the second half of the season, possibly the only thing keeping him in it is that there isn't a natural successor to fill the seat. Usually they would prompt some from AT but I don't see Yuki in the RB.

Perez is still second in the drivers standings even after all the qualifying mess ups. His seat is safe as long as Max is winning the races and he getting decent points.

The 3 (possibly 4) way fight for second best is also helping him as no other team is consistently getting maximum points.

I don't think the excuse of Verstappen is winning is good enough for RedBull. They won't want one car getting pole and winning races while the other car is getting out qualified by a Haas or a Williams. I think it's a good thing the summer break is only a few weeks away so Checo can maybe reset and get back to form. F1 is a cut throat business if you aren't getting the results then you get the sack. If Checo can gain form for the second half of the season then he'll be there next season, I don't think there's anyone currently with RB good enough for that second seat

Not F1 but the porsche supercup on at Silverstone is absolutely mad stuff, top 3 all went off only a few turns, lads just going miles wide off the track the whole time. Chaotic enjoyment!

In Checos defence, not withstanding the recent qualy issues he’s been experiencing, yesterday was just bad luck followed bad luck! Like another poster said, the red flag/changing conditions & track evolution was always going to catch someone out! Just happened to be Perez on this occasion.

What's the chance of rain at the circuit during the race today?

That plank Ted Kravitz was up there with him also (in another) Eurofighter Typhoon jet. Saw some of it yesterday.

It's not bad luck though. I was listening to the P1 podcast and they pointed out that Perez was first car out after red flag and didn't make Q2. Albon was the second driver on track and he qualified 8th.

Not a huge fan of Mark Webber with these interviews, but looking forward to watching the race live on Ch4.

Coulthard asking Clarksons former schoolmate "he didn't bully you did he?) 🙈🙈🙊🙊

He's making a point of being a bit of a bollocks to certain people on the grid now. He does have a point though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,095 ✭✭✭Captain_Crash

He was sitting in the pit lane for 9 minutes because the team thought the red flag would finish sooner, his tyres has cooled way too much… even he questioned it himself at the time, he was a sitting duck from that point on!

    Some celeb on the grid

Brundle: "she doesn't want to talk? The deal is if you are on the grid you have to talk"

    Celeb: "I can't hear a thing sorry"

Brundle:"That's a shame, I'm sure that would have been extreeemely interesting"

Lol, and I'm sure he's making it his own mission to track down Guardiola whenever he is around.

Who the bird who refused to talk? I've genuinely no idea who most of these people are

I usually switch over to the F1 coverage with 5 mins to go to the formation lap to avoid as much of the Sky sh1te as possible.

Never heard of that Sam Ryder chap but that was a good chat with Brundle, proper excited about being there and seemed to know his stuff.
