Yep. Just got it as well.

I tried to email the genuine iReach but my email bounced back.

I got it too. It's strange that the company haven't said anything directly re: what is clearly a breach and involves personal data.

Just came to warn people about it too

I reported the email to Ireach last time and they didn’t bother replying which was weird

Yes I got it too and emailed Oisin again. They had a warning on the website but i can't understand either why they haven't emailed people and told them. I rarely look at the website and do the surveys from email and I'm sure plenty are the same and will get caught. This is why I don't want to give my ID to Irish opinions due to security concerns.

They replied to me last time but today's one bounced back for some reason.

    Reply from Oisín at ireach

Thanks Edmund for letting us know.

This issue has been caused by our software development team in India. We are planning to launch a new version of our iReachconversations.com website later in the month, and during testing they have accidentally sent a dummy survey to a small group of recent survey takers, as they were testing out adding points for Omnibus completed surveys.

    Apologies for the confusion.

IF true I imagine they will be hacking away at the value of their points system. Hopefully they might actually offer something more than the current 2 surveys a month!

Common sense would have been to alert customers by email to what they were doing. It's not like they don't have our emails.

Did I see someone say before that All Gifts comes and goes from Media Opinions? Went to cash it yesterday and it wasn’t there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,862 ✭✭✭✭Paul Tergat

Yes. It'll back up in no time. Give it til tomorrow to check again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,515 ✭✭✭Kittykat67

Yes it will be back tomorrow. Happened me a few times but it comes back.

I think I'm done with irish opinions it won't let me collect my reward without verification. I'm not doing it and after reading reviews of the company I'm glad I didn't go any further when I attempted it the other day.

Why? What was so bad that you decided to quit IO?I, like many others have had problems with IO over the years (suspension of accounts, witholding of payments, verification of accounts, allowing access to mobile) but worked through it.I have earned quite a nice bit of money from IO over the years and havn't seen any problem with my on line privacy.i know IO's faults but they suit me to make some cash.

I dont want to put it won't let me cash out without using that website and giving my ID and pictures. It's not even giving it to Irish opinions its a different company and I'm not comfortable giving my I'd when I don't know where its going to end up.

I never had Any issues previously and made loads too.was getting 10 a week although recently it's gone down to 10 a month even though I'm checking it all day every day

have all the rewards now been locked to you ?

irish opinions has gone quiet for me too lately i am still only on a fiver after 3 weeks which is very unusual , not sure about uploading photo id to a random company tbh

I had tried the mastercard originally. Then tried tesco and amazon today and when I click order it goes as far as after I input the verification code that I always get from irish opinions but then the next page says continue your Id verification and says I can't order any vouchers until it is completed.

This is where I'm at and its over 3 days since I first attempted it. I'm going to leave it now again till Thursday or Friday and not try anything in between and if I've no joy I'll just leave it. It will sicken me but it will better to loose 10 euro than give my photo and ID when I've a bad feeling. I'm just hoping that the picture I sent of my ID with all other details bar name blocked out, hopefully it won't go through if I don't finish the process.

Got a nice 4e one today from redc and got screened out...not happy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 312 ✭✭minibear

I've never had to upload photo ID to redeem a card from Irish Opinions. I only started to do surveys in early June and I've got 3 tesco gift cards and just waiting on another euro for my fourth. I'm hoping to keep them all for Christmas but I'll test one the next time I'm in tesco.

Redc, I've only done three surveys so far and I signed up a couple of weeks ago. But I realise from doing surveys that I'm much more aware of what I'm seeing in the news and the ads I see and hear.

I clear €500+ from IO a year but I'd also not upload my ID to another site. So far it hasn't been looked for but I'll pull the plug if it does.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,515 ✭✭✭Kittykat67

Im doing it with years and this is only new the last 2 weeks or so. Others have had to do it too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,284 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

@Kittykat67 maybe before you try it next time clear cookies etc and see if that helps, i am hoping it is just for MasterCard because the amazon €10 are great when they issue £10 vouchers

That's why I tried the other vouchers after as I thought that about it kind of being money if you know what I mean and not a voucher. I'll try that later. Thanks
