Tenancy Notice Period

Hi everyone,

I moved to my current place on November 2021. My lease expired last November 2022 and we didn't renew the lease I just continued my tenancy. In this case, am I eligible to move out without a notice period or does the same notice period applies as I have lease agreement? Thanks.

Part 4 kicked in after 6 months, so your notice period would be per that legislation, i.e. 42 days as you're there over a year, but less than 2. Existence (or indeed non-existence) of a lease has no bearing on this.

Hi,

I sign an annual lease every year.

If I decide to leave mid lease, can I, provided I adhere to the required notice period?

And second question, I was living in the house a number of years before I took the lease over from someone who left. What notice period do I use? From when i took the lease or from when I started living there?
