Queens in Belfast of all places, their parents will be scarlet

And just to make it clear, this is not a case of fat-shaming and bluehair-shaming. They display something that can be interpreted as a human form of aposematism:

They phrased that in the most progressive way possible but it's not incorrect. Instead of scrapping it altogether they could just take race into account and adjust the scale accordingly like they do in Asia or add caveats for race like the NHS BMI calculator does.

since the 1990’s when I started to watch and follow cricket… the English national team and the county / club scene has had a complete inclusion of players and coaches of differing ethnicities and backgrounds … how the fûck can it be more diverse ? Just feeding the woke beast.

their international teams have had as captain in the last 20 years…. Eoin Morgan, Nasser Hussain, Moeen Ali, Kevin Pieterson ….

Irish, Asian, South African, Indian born or of those ethnicities playing for them too …. Coaches like Duncan Fletcher from different continents. Current coaches Matthew Mott and Brendan McCullum from Australia and New Zealand respectively.

what meaningful change is required ? Club / county sides can only field a max of two overseas players per championship fixture… similar regs in other leagues and competitions around the world …

Lancashire have multiple ethnicities and overseas players in their squad ….

what finally will satisfy the diversity mob ? A squad of 20 where 50% have to be non white / non European ?

Just so fuçkin woke that days before arguably the most important cricketing international series that the ECB are bothering their captain to get distracted with this baloney… getting him dragged in front of the camera, and engaging with this BS. Wonderful.

just pick the best team, hire the best coaches and win… no other remit… satisfying woke chin dribblers should not be part of the job description.

there are race medical issues to consider, for instance if you gave western diet advice to South Asians, westerners might be ok but you cause Indians to get diabetes.

The report and all others like it are a complete nonsense as these type of committees in order to justify their existence have to find whatever the terms of reference asks them to find whether it really exists or not. This means more jobs for the type of people who are on these types of committees. These types of committees are farcical in general across all walks of life that they are brought in to investigate discrimination.

A big stir was raised about how awful it was that Eton and Harrow play a match at Lords every year and not the womens team. Of course they seemed to forget that Eton and Harrow playing cricket predates test match cricket itself and is a massive part of the entire history of the sport whether people like it or not. There is nothing wrong with keeping that tradition alive.

Honestly the report may have some element of truth to it but it seemed to be more driven by envy rather than actually caring about the sport.

How's so? From what I've seen the indian food is similar to the western one in terms of carbohydrates and sugars, or even containing more of them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,240 ✭✭✭kowloonkev

It seems every organisation in the UK will have to go through this charade one by one and nobody will think huh, actually these organisations are just a reflection of British society, yet it is they who must take the heat and pay the price.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,868 ✭✭✭Cordell

Isn't it interesting that all these calls to diversity they all ignore the white European diversity? Polish and other Eastern Europeans are a significant minority in UK and Ireland yet no one cares about them not being represented.

Indian tolerance to sugar is lower apparently, so there is a lot of diabetes in India not linked to obesity as such, not looked at it in a while but that was my takeaway

Not a bit demeaning to females…

’If incorrect language is used…it can cause someone to feel hurt and distressed’

Dont forget to be an ‘ally’ to these orgs!

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

I've spent some time in India and they are very indisciplined when it comes to sweet food. They use a lot of milk powder instead of fresh milk and it is sweetened. The tea tends to be sickly sweet, although they do drink black tea also. Pretty sure all the fizzy drinks are as they were back in the day because they taste great. If they have a lower tolerance for sugar then they definitely don't seem worried about it.

It's rare that woke gets push back. The long cherished Democrat initiative against Asians and Jews in American colleges been struck out.

The Left obsession against Jews has been long noted but there is also a growing problem with them targeting most Asians.

Both are seen as uppity, not knowing when they are victims and not having the grace to ask for help from left wing activists, same reason that they came to view the working class as chavs, gammons, lumpen proles, and all the other terms of insult they have.

Context doesn't matter anymore it seems, which is really scary, what next , the word "bigger" is banned because it sounds to much like a racial slur ??

Just nuts, like that Ben Rothernberg (spelt wrong but I don't care) asshole tennis journalist who was instrumental in getting a sports commentator fired for using the term "guerilla warfare tactics" to describe Venus Williams tennis game.

Just despicable behaviour, he knew what he meant, he knew the context , but this would give him virtue signalling brownie points..

On Virgin Media last week I watched a group of 3 panellists discussing Pride. A not male panellist said if you know someone LGBT this year send them a message of support, maybe just a text message to tell them you care about them, you support them. You know because of all what's goin on like. An actual male who referred to his gay friends as gaybos or was it gay-bros idk, either way a bit naff, was saying they have been telling him that Pride this year is more important than ever ever and maybe this year cis people should consider going to Pride to show their support. Maybe go out of your way to have gaybros in your circle of friends as well, that would be really neat. Okay he didn't say that but he did really.

Nothing says equality like special treatment. Considering how few alphabet people there are each one of them is going to have to make room in their lives for 10 or more straight friends.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,861 ✭✭✭✭Rothko

You can't really go out of your way to make friends with someone. It's something that has to happen naturally or it doesn't work.

To be fair, I always consider it a bonus when I get it so I think it's aptly named. 😁

Doesn't sound like the creation of a female mind somehow or other

    https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/14/business/restaurant-relief-fund-covid-sba.html

    Not unlike that idea

Indians do well most places they go, emphasis on family, education and hard work being obvious traits.

Jews are something else, less than 20 million of them and leading lights in any field you wish to look at arts, science, finance, medicine etc

There was a time Israeli farmers were the most productive dairy farmers on planet; living in a desert! Seemingly when Israel was in its infancy their farmers were men and women of education who tore up the rule book and changed how productivity was managed on farms.

Harvard at the rest might be better off figuring out why Asians and Jews are such high achievers and pass on the lessons.

Promoting someone because they are of a certain race is incredibly racist, well meaning or otherwise

Bonus hole sounds offensive somehow... plus it implies that men don't have any bonus's, so it's also sexist.
