Heading into Dublin town tomorrow. Anyone know if Liffey Street or Stephens Green stores are still open? Google maps says they're both permanently closed already but not sure that's right?

I mentioned it earlier in the thread but that's why I stopped shopping with them. Their inventory system was useless. Loads of times, I, or someone I know, would order something just to have the order cancelled due to lack of stock. That just creates frustration. Why order something on a website if you don't know if you're going to get it.

Stephens Green open until Saturday Switch games are 50% off Xbox one and Series games are 60% off.

I'm holding out myself as they have loads left and it'll hit the floor before Friday or they'll be taking them home.

Online shop closed now. Will any of you be visiting their shops on the last day of business?

    I don't know myself yet.

On the last day in the Drogheda store last week, remaining games stock was 90% off. There was nothing of real note but I bought 5 games (that I might play) for 12 euro and said goodbye to the staff as they were always helpful.

Will be in Dublin tomorrow so might stop from Stephen's Green and/or Dundrum to see if there will be anything left.

2025 gigs: Selofan, Alison Moyet, Wardruna, Gavin Friday, Orla Gartland, The Courettes, Nine Inch Nails, Rhiannon Giddens, New Purple Celebration, Nova Twins

I should have gone to the Drogheda one and bought some yugioh stuff. Ah well, I hope they find jobs.

Any good in-store deals on consoles? The other half wants to go and see if they’ve any PS4s or PS5s. Would it be worth going to Dundrum?

In swords gamestop there 90% off ps4/ps5 and Xbox games. 80% off switch games. Got a few games think cost 32 euro. Cheapest game was 30 euro full price

I made my last visit to Gamestop today. Shook hands with the manager and thanked him and the staff for their help over the last eleven years.

I bought these two signs there:

The Playstation blue make a lovely match with the blue shorts I'm wearing.

I popped into the Blanch branch today, the shelves were absolutely bare apart from copies of old Madden/NBA 2K/FIFA games. They also had some suitcase-sized cardboard boxes for €10-20 each, I suspect they were full of Funko Pops of some jobbers from DC movies or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The display monitors were already reserved, so I left empty-handed.

The shelves were bare in my one too. Seven day earlier they were full.

I went into it before lunch and I say it probably closed not long after. It was a strange feeling seeing it with bare shelves.

I would love if Game returned to the Republic again.

Got a few games on Friday in swords shop. Was a decent bit still in it at 11 in the morning. Brought kids in on Saturday when it opened. Hardly anything. Got death loop on the xbox for 7 euro. Kids got 3 other games on the xbox as well. Nothing really there for PlayStation. About 4 switch games and a few funko pops. About 10 staff working in it which I found mad but maybe was all the staff in for the last day.

Yea they prob just had everyone in to give them all a last hurrah (or days pay as it were)

More likely to ensure the place was completely emptied and cleaned before they left. Crescent one was also weird on the last day. Didn't have much, but I said I'd buy a couple of Funko Pops and post here that I did, sure to ruffle a few feathers!

Also, an SNL one I got years ago for "D*ck in a Box" is now going for upwards of €150, so maybe the ones I got for a fiver will be worth something in years to come. Probably not though, but the Sukuna Duluxe was only a tenner and may be worth something, wouldn't have been as many of them being made.
