New WFP claim waiting times

Hi. Does anyone know the waiting times for new Working Family Payment claim. I see from a different post that someone is waiting 8 weeks for a renewal, is it the same for new applications?

I'm still waiting for approval, hopefully this week, monthly pay and have just sent off March payslip.

I started new job on the 9th Feb, did online application on 10th, sent on Feb payslip on 23rd Feb.

They came back asking for two forms to be filled out by employer, have one sent on, still waiting for second one to come back to me from employer. and sent on March payslip as well last week.

Just looked on Mywelfare.ie and its finally been approved, payment from 16th February. hope yours come through a bit faster.

Yipee that's great news!! so it really is around 7-8 weeks, urgh! Fingers crossed it's got a bit quicker, that's a long time to wait when you have very little coming in 🙈

Just wondering if anyone else has applied recently and if so how long it took to process - emailing has proved pointless and calling them takes foreeeeevvvveeeeeer!
