You could see the Pep fouls any time a United player was on the break. Needs to be rooted out of the game.

Once upon a time, there was a football team that was struggling to win matches. They had a skilled squad, but they just couldn't seem to score when it mattered the most. That was until they signed Wout Weghorst, a striker who was known not only for his impressive skills on the field but also for his secret talent - he was a trained hypnotist.

Wout had always been fascinated by hypnosis, and he had studied it extensively over the years. He had even taken courses and earned certifications in hypnotherapy. But it wasn't until he joined this struggling football team that he saw an opportunity to put his skills to the test.

In a pelanty shoot out ( Chris Waddle was commentating) the pressure was on. Wout saw an opportunity to use his hypnotic abilities to help his team. As Solly March stepped up to take the penalty, Wout looked deep into his eyes, using a combination of suggestion and visualization techniques to plant the idea in the player's mind that he would miss the penalty.

To the amazement of everyone on the pitch, Solly missed the penalty, and Wout's team went on to win the match. From that day on, Wout became known as the team's secret weapon. He used his hypnotic abilities to help his team win crucial matches and even helped his teammates overcome nerves and anxiety.

Word soon spread throughout the league about Wout's unique talent, and other teams started to fear him. They knew that if they were awarded a penalty kick against Wout's team, they might not stand a chance.

Thanks to Wout's hypnotic abilities, his team went on to win multiple championships, and Wout himself became a legend in the football world. He proved that sometimes the most powerful weapon on the pitch isn't brute strength or raw talent, but the power of the mind.

Just so we are clear and there's no confusion between threads, Man City shouldn't be supported to win the Premier League last season or this season but its ok for the "neutrals" to support them in the FA Cup Final right?

That's a bit harsh, just because he can't save penalties.

No need to redevelop Old Trafford, United are living rent free in your head.

    Glazers Out!

When weghorst kissed the ball, he actually bit a small hole in it and caused it to deflate. United should be kicked out of the cup, be deducted 23 points and the glazers should retain control until 2150.....

I hear Weghorst wished him good luck. The rotter.

    Glazers Out!

I heard Weghorst said that's the only way I can score a goal.

    Arsenal fan here.

I am on the camp that's very very happy when City (and PSG etc) crash out of a competition.

I'll support Utd in the final and hoping that Real Madrid also takes them out (though I don't like them either) and also hope for a big miracle for us too - though I can't see it happening...

Just so you are clear and there's no confusion between threads, the “neutrals” you speak of now, are a completely different set of “neutrals” than the ones you reference, specifically when you say “last season”.

Last season the “neutrals” didn’t want Liverpool winning the title because they would then move level with Manchester United on overall titles. Therefore there was a complete “neutral lean” towards City.

This year’s neutrals are in two buckets, and they are across the threads. The Premier League “neutrals” want Arsenal to win the league, but are prepared to align with Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Sometimes, its very, very hard to pin down a “neutral”.

Brighton's lack of a half decent CF lost them the tie,

AWB is great at one on ones he enjoys singling out his target & having a battle with them ,

I' m always surprised when teams don't pout 2 lads on his side, as he gets completely lost when you pass & move around him , His positional sense is bad,

3pm is down to the cops apparently they were pushing for an early ko due to security concerns given it's a Manchester derby.

Game is about to start. I would not like City to win and possibly do a treble.

For that reason alone, I would prefer for United to win. Never an easy thing to say.

    Hope it's a good game.

My God what a start !

    Outstanding goal!

Fastest goal in the final ever.

Man City lead after like 10 seconds. Gundogan.

Edit: Officially clocked at 13 seconds, the fastest ever FA Cup final goal.

    oh holy sh*t.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,781 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

Have any team won the FA cup without conceding a goal before?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,426 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

United absolutely blessed. Rodri heads just wide with De Gea completely rooted to the spot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,699 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Where is Gundogan on the 'City legend' list?

He has to be top 5 at this stage. Key title goals, key cup goals.

    As clutch as they come.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,699 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

This has 4-0 written all over it with KDB and Gundogan getting to put their feet up early before next week.
