Possible to travel Dublin - Galway by coach without using Go Bus

    I had a bad experience the last time I travelled Go Bus, in December 2022.

    No air conditioning and no wifi and packed, I understand this is always the way. Felt like toasted bunny when I got off.

    So, is it time for me to take the train? ( And navigate the irish rail website a few years on advance to book my seat )

    GoBus and Citylink are the same company now. I've never had an issue with Citylink but it has been a good few years since I used them.

    Citylink a good few months ago bought out Gobus and now operate out of same office and accept each others tickets.

    Only other option is Aircoach but takes a bit longer as the express 706x stops in Athlone also whilst the standard 706x stops in Maynooth and Ballinasloe too.

    I've had the no aircon issue twice on Citylink. Just twice though, out of dozens, maybe even 100+ journeys.

    Aircoach and train are the only options I know.
