Installer Dragging heels on providing final paperwork and BER for SEAI grant

has anyone experienced this ?

the installer completed the process for the EV charger and grant is claimed

for the solar PV, grant is still outstanding (install was done pre-christmas!!) and needs the installer to provide some final paperwork and a BER

Why would they drag their heels on this ? is there something i am missing ... ?

There's really no reason for them to drag their heels, I think all my paperwork was done within two weeks of the installation

Personally I'd be harassing them to see what can be done and what paperwork is needed

We actually organised our own BER because the assessors the installer used were all booked out for weeks. We got a €300 discount from the installer for getting our own BER

Many installers leave the BER to the individual. Which is fine once you know it's on you to arrange. Worth checking with the installer if they agree they owe the paperwork. Or they think you are doing it. SEAI told me they give 2 weeks extension then it's cancelled and a new application is needed.

That said I had to chase too. When I told then I had contacted the SEAI about the date looming asking what if they missed the deadline, it gave them a nudge to do it themselves. The won't want to lose SEAI accreditation- so I assume that is a 'stick'.
