Kids D&D

Hoping for a pointer...

I'm looking for a starting place for D&D for my little ones (6 & 7).

Now I've never played it myself, but was thinking they'd like it. Figured it would be a nice thing to do together, get them into games, leverage their imagination etc..

No idea how to start mind you, or where.

Any pointers appreciated.

The board game is a nice starting point for kids. It's a very simplistic version of the D&D game.

Comes with a build your own Dungeon set adventures which you can use to weave a narrative for your little ones.
Combat is simple. and you can add more complex elements as you go along.

And once you've done all the missions you can use the game board to build your own.

I got D&D Adventure Begins for my nephew and played a few games over Portal with him yesterday and I would highly recommended it for young and old trying to get into D&D, its very straightforward and easy to set up with a clear and concise rule book and guide.

Are there any parents of young teenagers looking for a weekly DND Session over the summer? Parents are trying to get a group of liked minded teens together to enjoy DND as a summer activity for kids who loved DND that don’t want to do ‘summer camps’ etc Teens would like to meet with liked minded DND-ers! Parents will be booking an experienced Dungeon Master to write and run and supervise the campaign. PM for more info if you wish. Thanks.

Wont be here for the summer but interested to learn more for my 10 year old in south Dublin. He has a regular weekly D&D in USA with a professional dungeon master but we are moving to Dublin in Aug.

Underworld Gaming in Tallaght is a good bet, or there is Gamers World on Jervis Street. I don't know any other places that would be suitable for a 10-year-old, aside from maybe you and a few other parents meeting in The Clockwork Door...?
