thanks going to check around, sounds like I may be better off going Three 5G and sticking up an external antenna myself

I'm going to try 3 as soon as they activate 5g here.

No internet this morning, just love this crowd! No signal bars on router at all. NBP can’t come soon enough.

    Cappagh North Kildare Mast.

Here as well - Mayo/Roscommon border. My system reports down since approx 3:15 am last night. Happy enough I have backup broadband link with other ISP. 8-)

Up here as well. 11:37 connected.

The good thing of all that outage is I finally found a moment to set auto-rollover thing on my main router. :-D

Been down for all but two 20 minute stretches today in East Mayo, Kilmovee area. Second day in the space of a month it's been essentially completely unusable for a whole day. Not good enough. No communication either.

Can confirm the same in West Roscommon, Lisacul area. With the service not just slowing down with congestion but being unusable for entire working days it's hard to recommend Imagine to anyone who has another option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 701 ✭✭✭Tucker.Tim

At least it's not just me. I didn't contact Imagine because I wrongly assumed it would be fixed any minute but did you contact them? Could they not be aware of the issue?

I'm in the same area and did. Just some vague "we're looking into it" and no ETA. Will contact first thing in the morning again if it's still down.

Reporting the same in Roscommon. The neighbours on Imagine were the same so definitely something wrong with at least one or more of the masts.

The one in Boher Bui north of Ballagh, why do you ask?

What are they liable for re: refunds when they don't provide the service they're billing for? Seriously effecting my job at this point.

Thought we're linked to the same one, but no. I'm connected to Mullaghanoe Hill.

Down at nearly an identical time this Thursday as last. Third day inside a month with a major outage.

I'm with imagine 3 and a half years. I have to say it has been brilliant. I'd say have I called customer support no more than 5 times. Once was becausey speed was chopped because my credit card was never updated.

2 young kids who spend most of their free time on tablets. Sometimes have issues streaming but can be resolved with quick router reset.

I still reckon it's pricey for what is, especially when you compare it to Starling at the new rate.

Hi All. I live in an area with poor DSL, speeds of 10MB at best and very intermittent. My heart is broken from ringing the ISP and ready to move on at this stage. Imagine is in my area and they say my local mast is not heavily subscribed. Can anyone give some recent reviews of their service and should it be ok for me ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,508 ✭✭✭rodge123

Completely depends on your mast…mine can be fairy crap some evenings. Others have no issues. Mine is Cappagh, North Kildare.

You'll have to give your location and ideally which mast you’re on and hope someone here is also on it to give feedback.

What do you mean by crap, what speeds ?

I would be on the ballyhooly mast in north cork

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66 ✭✭coolaboola1357

I'm wondering if I'd be better off with starlink

Might get 4 or 5Mb in evenings sometimes which would be useless if kids were few years older and streaming or gaming. Uploading any sorts of large files makes the network near unusable at any time of the day also
