Kia rio engine stops in traffic , cranks but wont start for a while

Hi, I have a Kio Rio 2007. The engine turned off while stopped at a traffic light. Tried to restart, engine cranks but won't restart. After 10 mins, cranked again and the engine started. Drove for 1 km, and the engine stopped at the next traffic light. but started after cranking 2-3 times. I dropped it at a nearby garage.…

Hi,
I have a Kio Rio 2007. The engine turned off while stopped at a traffic light. Tried to restart, engine cranks but won't restart. After 10 mins, cranked again and the engine started. I checked the coolant level. it seemed ok. Oil level seemed ok. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? thanks

Was there any warnings on the dash etc?
