Exciting extra time. Quality of football poor.

Id agree keep the ulster championship but have it as a stand alone competition or something.

The only good news for both teams is David De Gea is not in goals for either.

fair play to one of the panel casually slinging mud at the ref there and none of them picking him up on it...

Cantwell can barely contain her excitement over the shootout.

The goalkeepers could steal an inch or two off the line before the ball us kicked i feel. Not sure it would be called back.

Derry was always a soccer heartland

How did Armagh lose that game in extra time, 2 pts up.

McGeeney teams seem to fall at the final hurdle. I don't mind the penalties so much. But 2nd half extra time.

Two inch perfect Derry penalties hit just under the crossbar. Very brave strikes. And the keeper has now etched his name into GAA folklore. Great game. Another heartbreak for long suffering Armagh and McGeeney but congrats to Derry on the sweetest of victories to do the two in a row.

    McGeeney hasn't got it.

Delight for the Derry players. Very tough week, not of their own making.

    Delighted. Armagh are repugnant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,127 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Good point. Would've though a 45 shootout was more in keeping with GAA culture...

Armagh with no one to blame but themselves. Should never have gone to penalties. They had the chance to win it outright in play.

Comes with the territory there, you gotta be tough.

Nothing worse then a horn you can't get rid of.

I'm on the verge of a site ban. Please don't rage bait me, I'm easily triggered especially late at night!

Exciting match for sure. Too much nasty **** going on to really root for any team. Even at the very end for the last equaliser, Rogers for no reason just dropped his knee onto Campbell's leg. Checked the ref was looking the other way first though.

You really don't see the level of scumbag behaviour in the other provinces. It happens occasionally but today had more than I've seen all year.

    Joanne Cantwell would rot ya…

    Always looking for an argument.

I'd say the panelists are losing patience having to deal with her!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,498 ✭✭✭TheRiverman

The game of Gaelic Handball needs a major overhaul starting with the Goalkeeper nonsense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,762 ✭✭✭shockframe

'The game needs to be more attacking. Something has to be done'

Goalkeepers start to become more attack minded.

'What! Who do these fancy dan keepers think they are? Know yer place ye free thinking anarchists!'

First time i tuned into BBC today and found it to be goid coverage. Philly was a decent co comm. Don't know who the main commentator was but he was miles better than Marty (who isn't?). Murphy and Marty McGrath no nonsense at ht. And a nice touch going to ex referee Maurice Deegan to talk through and controversial moments.
