FBC recording?

No, it’s a single cable from LNB to sat box. The number of tuners available to you will depend on the LNB and box. I have 4 for 28.2 and even this is overkill for my usage.

Sky Q is wideband , it is not FBC. So for example , a Sky Q LNB will not work with an FBC tuner unless that LNB also has legacy ( SKYHD ) outputs.

An FBC tuner will work with legacy LNBs but behaves the same way as the older box , so if you have a box with FBC tuners and an old Sky HD LNB , then you get a tuner per feed from the dish , so with two feeds its two recordings at any one time.

To take full advantage of FBC you need a Unicable LNB , which will give you as many tuners as your box has , so in my case I get 8 tuners because it has a dual FBC. ( Box is VU+ )

For me , as well as the odd recording , the main use for this is up to 8 different devices receiving whatever channel they want from the box via enigma2 clients, multiroom on steroids if you will !
